While portraying immigrants and working-class people as burdens on society, it is actually the super-rich and corporations, with their incessant demands, that burden society. They are perverting the purpose of democratic government to line their own pockets, full stop.

We've been having this conversation for a long time. I remember when he first started running after coming down that elevator. Every time he opened his mouth we thought, "ah...this is the thing that's going to bring him down!" Nothing ever did. It only galvanized the base further. By 2016 I was asking the same question that Paul Krugman was asking around that time. What could he say or do at this point that would be any different from anything he has already said and done? Why would it make a difference? I don't have an answer because the most obvious answer is, nothing will change the minds of his followers. Back then I joked that he could be caught on video, kicking a baby down a flight of stairs while eating a live puppy, and he still wouldn't lose support. To bring in some sociology and social psychology, think of all the people who participate with groups that abuse them, abusive relationships, group scapegoats and whipping boys. Why do they continue to participate with groups and people that abuse them. It's because the status that they derive from being part of this group is worth more to them than their wellbeing.

They will never realize. They have been brain washed and now stick to Fox News. It is over. They will never recover. I have a few of them in my family…

History suggests it is extremely rare that large numbers of people are able to acknowledge they made a terribly wrong choice. Meanwhile, the Heritage Gang and their allies are doing everything possible to insure that even those who do will have the least likely shot at mattering. Bottom line--there is no time to waste and certainly no time to wait for voters' remorse.

I don’t know what news reaches the Trump devotees. Many might not be aware of the cuts to government agencies that will be likely to impact their wallets. Isn’t that why the believed Trump would bring prices down? For some they may have stars in their eyes from watching people grabbed on the street and shipped off, including those who have done nothing to deserve that. I was hoping there would be more outrage from military personnel, current and former, after Moe, Larry and Curly planned an attack on the Houthis, along with innocent civilians.

The Houthis are not the enemy. They kill them for Israel not because of a threat to the US. It is all about Israel’s apartheid butchery so we now act as if we are entitled to conduct ourselves outside the scope of human society.

So there is a Nazi attack on free speech If the Nazis don’t like what you say then it’s not free speech Complete HYPOCRISY

It’s not about free speech it’s about their protected speech….the Nazi free speech of propaganda

Networks should lose their FCC licenses Judges with differing opinions should be impeached Banning news organizations who don’t go along with the Nazi talking points Going after law firms that don’t favor the regime’s propaganda line Students with green cards who protest with differing opinions should be thrown out of the country because “they are agitators who don’t love our country” Universities should lose federal grant money if they dare speak out against the Nazi regime Take over the Kennedy Center for Continuing Arts to even control the art’s free speech and have only shows that are deemed “appropriate”

But billionaire/oligarchic Nazis protect social media such as X, Meta, and Tik Tok because it’s algorithmic, simply a machine that directs your attention It’s planned Nazi propaganda And it’s not free speech Billionaires are literally rewiring our thinking to solidify their power grab

This is what it looks like living in a dictatorship in the 21st century Fox channel is the only channel available and X will be the social media platform WAKE UP AMERICA

I predict that the 2025 word of the year will be schadenfreude -- a lovely German word meaning joy at the suffering of others. We, the woke libs (whatever that means) are not suffering alone. In German, we put it functionally -- my black heart is laughing.

As they start losing lots of "entitlements" -- ranging from insurance obtained on an exchange to Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security, I hope lots of Trump voters have an OMG moment.

The actions of Trump and Musk that are about to come down on scores of the older and most vulnarable people in the country will result in both mental and physical hardships so it's difficult for me to cheer about MAGA voters getting their 'just desserts'.

Exactly! Then wait till Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid are cut for them/their families. Wait till there are epidemics / pandemics and they/their families get sick / die. They will actually be forced to THINK about cause / effect & consequences.

Decade after decade of Republican protecting the rich, cutting taxes for them by cutting benefit from the poor has never caused these stupid MAGA to realize that they are cheering for people don't give a damn about them. You think they will wake up all the sudden and realize that they have been betrayed once again? Honestly, they deserve this as they have earned it.

Of course, for any logical minded person the whole country other than the few mega rich, has suffered as a result. And this has only weakened the USA as a nation.

When I said that DOGE is cutting offices, she said that she listened to a speech by the Orange Dirtbag about waste and fraud.
