I believe that we should never condone violence. In the defence of ICE agents, we should kill every single one of the mother fuckers. Unnecessary violence is exactly what they want. It gives them a reason to call off the midterms. Notice how the response to ICE’s murder last week has been to increase their presence in Minneapolis.
I went through NPR’s online “museum” on January 6th. The first video struck me profoundly. While the crowd gathered they were mostly yelling at Capitol Police. They shouted shame repeatedly, called them unpatriotic losers and sounded remarkably similar to those of us who protest ICE goons. There the similarities end. The insurrectionists were armed, beat officers and sprayed bear spray. Protesters play instruments, knit, dance and sing, wear silly costumes and ride bikes naked. Our actions, not our words is what is setting us apart from them.
There are a million ways to subvert this regime subtly. Start by spending cash locally, at locally owned businesses. Better yet, go to immigrant owned businesses. If you’re dedicated to the points programs on your cards, you’re part of the problem. You’re shifting the burden of those costs to those who don’t have access (you don’t actually think the bank is just giving you that money or upgrades, do you?)
Quit ordering from Amazon and shopping at Walmart! Cancel streaming services that support the regime. We saw how powerful this can be with the Kimmel cancellation. Harness that power everywhere-it’s already working at The Kennedy Center.
Adjust your W2 forms so you have no federal withholding. Fill out tax forms manually and mail them snail mail. Yes, it’s a pain, but it doesn’t compare to living in a fascist state.
Prepare for a general strike. Set aside food and/or money so you can miss a day or 2 of work. I recognize that’s not practical for a lot of people, but those of us who can could still have an impact. I know immigrants families who haven’t been able to work and they are pooling resources to cook for each other and keep their lights on. Get to know your neighbors!
Even in these wise instructions about how to NOT be killed, the understandable instructions all point to one thing. BE SILENT. DO AS YOU ARE TOLD, or you might be dead. First of all, please follow these instructions BUT? I don't see instructions like this in our constitution. We can chose to be silent IF we are arrested but? If some human grabs my car door for no reason? NOW? Since these horrific events? I must submit. We seem to have already lost our constitutional right because we might be shot. I still advise you follow the instructions. But what we have lost NEEDING TO or we will be killed?. This is, by the way, what minority populations live with daily.

Absolutely. I have railed against voter apathy for decades. I served in the Army and have taken the oath of office six different times in my life. I am angry that Democrat leadership is feckless and Republicans are shiftless. I believe the free vote is our most sacred right; however, people have become complacent in not voting and demanding more from their representatives.

We are in the middle of a one sided shooting class war. The oligarchs are pulling the strings on both parties who are beholden to them. The tried and true strategy of divide and conquer using racism as the ever effective tactic has polarized the working classes pitting them against each other for the benefit of the ruling class/elites/oligarchs. Both parties serve vulture capitalism and are more than willing to watch the working classes fight each other over crumbs while the
oligarchs pick their pockets. Nothing will substantially change until the working classes recognize how they’re being exploited. I believe if Democrats come to power in the midterms they’ll keep some if not all of Führer Trump’s immigration and foreign policies. Remember that a super majority of Democrats support a genocide in Palestine so they’re as morally bankrupt as MAGA.
