I am very interested in this interview, but Mary Trump's audio sound is terrible. Please imrove the quality of the interviewees' audio. Thank you. I am a great fan!

Didn’t bother to access this piece as I am assuming it’s excerpted from the longer Medhi Unfiltered from the other day. It’s also my least favorite piece of anything Zeteo has put out so far. I don’t get her relevance other than she is Trump’s niece and despises him. There are other voices to be heard and elevated.

Amen. Let's leave MSNBC behind, make Zeteo the place where you'll see things you won't see there.

Mary is a regular contributor to MSNBC. You know, Medhi’s former employer. It just seems her message is the same as what’s presented by most other MSN outlets. Pay no attention to the taxpayer funded genocide of Gaza. It’s getting damn near impossible to separate the extreme threat of Trump returning to office and Biden continuing to be commander in chief. I subscribed to Zeteo for unbiased coverage. Not more Democratic Party talking points.

Thank you for your push back on why not Kamal Harris. It is always the VP until it is a Black woman.

I welcomed Mary Trump's insights when I heard them the first four, five. six times. She's a smart woman. But she's had nothing of import to add for many months. MSNBC redeploys her because she serves as one of its echo chambers. A prerequisite for all MSNBC guests, the ability to follow the host's comments with three words: "I absolutely agree." As for televised Presidential debates, with so-called winners and losers, puleeeeeeze! They're glorified as "good TV" by those who televise them, but serve no purpose other than to celebrate the qualities we should not want in a President: choreographed, snappy sound bites and answers calibrated to a ticking timer. If one of the candidates takes a few moments to contemplate, he or she will be labeled as "slow." And finally, the "too evil to serve" title or course fits Trump, but I disputed the "too old to serve" indictment of Biden until his senile "Make my day!" challenge to Trump. Now...I wonder.

Trump is a gun, pressed against the temple of American society. Trump isn’t just a threat; he’s a weapon. Putin wields that weapon, Netanyahu wields that weapon, Kim wields that weapon — any dictator or billionaire can wield that weapon — but Biden wields that weapon, too.

Biden presses Trump against the temple of the electorate, and demands, “Vote for me, or the country gets Trumped!” That worked last time, because Trump is a tyrannical psychopath, and literally anyone had to be better.

But:

Last time, people didn’t know that Biden is ALSO such an irredeemably racist psychopath, that he would commit a genocide — in broad daylight, in front of the whole world — without an ounce of (genuine) remorse.

Last time, people didn’t know that Biden was so indifferent to democracy, that the will of the American people is an irrelevance that can’t sway his decision to permanently stain America, with this 21st-century genocide.

Last time, people didn’t know that Biden would oversee the brutalizing of anyone — including the best & brightest of America’s youth — who protests genocide.

Last time, people (even those of us who were not blind to his racism) couldn’t begin to imagine that Biden was the kind of person who would disregard good*, god**, and the will of the American people***, in order to commit the world’s worst crime.

* It’s so uncomplicated: Genocide is the opposite of good. Any behaviour that can be “mistaken” for genocide, is the OPPOSITE of good. Yet Biden disregards decency, and commits genocide.

** I’m no follower of any religion, but the genocidal maniac certainly claims to be, and HIS religion espouses papal supremacy to the point of papal infallibility. Yet Biden disregards the pope’s objections, and commits genocide.

*** He knows that most Americans reject his actions — every poll tells hims so — yet Biden disregards the the will of the American people, and commits genocide.

The trump-gun is a terrible threat. But so is the biden-maniac who chose to wield it against the American electorate, rather than accept the will of the people, and step aside to allow a primary to take place. He knew all along that the people didn’t want him. It was never ambiguous. He didn’t care. He had a gun.

I think people who warn about the Trump threat — without acknowledging the Biden threat (“threat” not “disappointment”) — lose credibility that they might otherwise have had.

We all know that GENOCIDE is not nothing. But we don't all seem to acknowledge that there will be repercussions for Biden’s genocide. If there are no legal consequences for the US & Israel, then there will be repercussions for the LACK of legal consequences. Will Biden FULLY destroy international law? He certainly seems willing.

Lisa, very we’ll said, thank you. Biden needs to “step aside,” but a “primary” would not need to follow; VP Kamala Harris would become president.

Bernie and the VP and many others including ourselves should be demanding that Biden resign to avoid a bipartisan Impeachment for the crime of complicity in genocide. We’re a nation of sycophants, reluctant to hold accountable the power elite who engage in criminal conduct while in the highest office; genocide and complicity in such a horrific crime. should qualify as an impeachable offense. Harris ought not repeat the ‘mistake’ made with Nixon—Biden should not be offered a pardon. Impunity promotes repetition. As a woman of color and a formidable prosecutor she would be a formidable president and presidential candidate; if she tells her Zionist husband to shut up. She would be less likely to follow the fascist White supremacist Zionist colonial settler Israeli scheme that the U.S. has been subsidizing in violation of our Democratic values. She would reenergize the Dem base. The choice ought not be Trump vs Biden, it should (must) be Trump vs Harris.

Write to Biden: WhiteHouse.gov

Call your Congress person:

(202)224-3121

Hope MEHDI will shed light on Harris as an alternative to Biden and call for

Biden to step aside.

Having said that, if it’s Trump vs Biden, we must all vote for the latter.

This brewing scandal is one Biden chose for himself; a disgraceful legacy. The man has no shame. Sociopaths have no shame. Biden must leave, now.

Yes, I realize that it is now too late for a primary, but he knew — long before he announced his intention to run again — that no one wanted him. He might not have known, a year ago, that he would go on to commit a genocide that would make him deeply & irreparably hated, but he knew that his own base didn't want him, never mind the public at large.

You and I disagree on Harris. Harris' hands are soaked in the same blood as Biden's. Harris has been wholly complicit. You can't blame her terrible husband; she has a terrible mind of her own.

You and I also disagree on whom people "must all vote for." Plenty of people can't vote for genocide. And people who won't vote for genocide, are not wrong.

If I believed in a god, I'd pray for him/her/it to "call them home." All of them. Every complicit member of the biden administration & any potential member of a trump administration. ASAP. (But then I'm not very forgiving of mass murderers. Let alone genocidal racists.)

Such a shame that the audio quality is so poor that its difficult to understand what Mary is saying. Let's hope its a one-off and Zeteo maintains its professional and quality appearance and content.

Poor sound quality is frustrating. The probably may be Mary Trump's connection.

This is what is so astounding to me - the normalization of Trump and the GOP when it comes to Democratic campaigns. Nobody is out there talking about insurrections, felonies, Supreme court corruption, any of the current Trump trials as a primary focus of campaign topics or themes. What has been happening in our country is an ongoing, now quite out in the open insurrection, yet the Democrats don't talk of it that way. I'm so tired of the current Democratic party.

Expand full comment

Yes. Trump is catastrophic. Inarguably. So, why is he still available to bolster Biden’s bid for the White House, four years after using the presidency to incite an insurrection against the US & American democracy, itself:

• Why did Biden appoint a confederate-sympathizer, who protected Trump so fiercely that people said they were afraid to even bring up Trump’s NAME near Garland?

• Why didn’t the DOJ immediately move to have Florida-judge removed from the Espionage Act case (re: stealing / illegally-retaining / potentially-distributing national secrets)? Aileen Cannon had already shown extreme bias, had already had her biased judgments over-turned on appeal — TWICE — and had already explicitly stated that she thinks the law shouldn’t apply to Trump. All of which occurred in the investigation of that self-same case. She should have been removed the same day she was selected.

“Incompetence” can’t explain it all away. Not all of it. Never mind all of that AND all of the rest of the crimes (which aren’t even worth adding, because we all know them, and who the hell wants to read a list that long… and redundant… yet again).

Once more I write that I joined Zeteo because I wanted to hear a loud, truthful and consistent portrayal of the Palestinian narrative which is given short shrift in the mass media. As Israel's genocide continues, Zeteo must maintain its lens on the war crimes. Let the debate about the election play out on other media.

I hope this piece does not represent the shape of things to come from Zeteo. It was poorly conceived and poorly executed. Mehdi Hasan is exceptional but I think this is the first of his broadcasts from which I've learned absolutely nothing new.

You make the point that we need to work hard to educate the people that Biden is by far the better person. Whatever you don’t like about Biden, the alternative is much worse on each issue. Make that clear instead of explaining people’s ignorance. Please, if you take the time to comment, make it count.

You absolutely made legitimate points about why people don’t support Biden. However, There will be a binary election. One of the candidates is planning detention camps, will throw out of the country people he disagrees with, promises to have the military in the street, has had a Muslim ban last time in office, is really gung ho supporter of Netanyahu and this is just a small part of his promise. Reminding us why Biden is not close to perfect is not helping unless you also say he isn’t as dangerous as the other guy.

I wouldn’t bother discussing with you unless I thought you are a sincere person who wants good for the world. I am not attacking you.

He will be a frightening disaster for us.

Criticize and push for change in the only way that is possible, when he is in power. Give him support and show him he owes you.

Let’s pull in the same direction.
