Sources identify man shot as Alex Jeffrey Pretti of south Minneapolis
The man fatally shot by federal officers in Minneapolis this morning has been identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, according to sources familiar with the investigation.
Pretti, 37, has an address listed in south Minneapolis.
At a news conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the man who was shot was a 37-year-old white man with no serious criminal history and a record that showed only some parking tickets. Law enforcement sources said Saturday their records show Pretti had no serious criminal history.
O'Hara said the man was a “lawful gun owner” with a permit. Records show that Pretti attended the University of Minnesota. State records show Pretti was issued a nursing license in 2021, and it remains active through March 2026.

Sources identify man shot as Alex Jeffrey Pretti of south Minneapolis
The man fatally shot by federal officers in Minneapolis this morning has been identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, according to sources familiar with the investigation.
Pretti, 37, has an address listed in south Minneapolis.
At a news conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the man who was shot was a 37-year-old white man with no serious criminal history and a record that showed only some parking tickets. Law enforcement sources said Saturday their records show Pretti had no serious criminal history.
O'Hara said the man was a “lawful gun owner” with a permit. Records show that Pretti attended the University of Minnesota. State records show Pretti was issued a nursing license in 2021, and it remains active through March 2026.
I guess if you go to University, follow the gun laws, you will be murders.

The downside, is that active duty troops will be deployed to Minneapolis to quell an insurrection that Trump has effectively started. You're right. There will be some people with little more than the reptilian side of their brain that may look at this as a way to start something that gives them an adrenaline high.
Meanwhile, Americans are being given a choice, comply with ICE meekly and lose their civil rights or fight back with more peaceful protests and maybe more state wide labor shutdowns. Not that ICE gives a fig about labor strikes. Trump doesn't care either. People tend to lash out when put in near impossible situations. I don't think it will be much longer before we have protest marches like the ones in the late sixties and early seventies and a lot of people are going to be hurt or killed.
