How do we navigate a space where the Right automatically calls for war when these tragic events occur, even though it is the people on Right committing most, if not all of the violence? How do we show empathy to them when they show NO empathy for us? Why is it that WE have to always be the ones calling for peace when no one on that side ever does... except, of course.. for the peace that comes from desolation,..

It's always worth listening to what Ilhan has to say.

You shouldn't presume that Kirk's killing is a symptom of "rising political violence," though. "Political violence" implies a far less organized manner of hostility.

An expert sniper is a highly organized hit; not someone spazzing out, because they can't stand his bullshit anymore.

What stops anyone from becoming an expert sniper? Guns are easily obtainable, gun ranges all over the place, experts are showing all there skills and experience online. I am not saying it's not organized but expert sniper is not something that is hard to achieve if you are determined.

Exactly. "If you are determined."

Since when are anti "gun-rights," anti-fascist, anti-genocide, peace-activists, determined to become snipers?

Kirk is a dream-Martyr to foment Trump's "civil war." And if we're going to just speculate, then: Ending Kirk's recent questions about Oct 7 being an inside job, or his recent questions about Epstein, are as good as (or better than) any of the lefty-turned-sniper theories.

The poor deluded young man, coddled by racists and nincompoops, died for nothing, and I never heard such sanctimonious twaddle as at his passing. Free speech? Dangerous, privileged white separatism! It cost him his life.

I notice the reward for Kirks killer is only 150,000

He wasnt worth much to society then.

I would just drop it , and call it bad luck.

Its hard to feel sorry for a person like Kirk. An over confident trouble maker, Who picks on those less fortunate people than he.

I think he died a fitting death for some one so useless to society.

Even less than useless to society,

May he rest in peace. as opposed to his trouble making existance on earth.

Human Decency, Compassion, and Empathy Is What Binds Us

If there is anything that comes out of Cheeto’s Nazi America is that for once in a long while WE the People are challenged to be and say who WE are WE are the citizens of a country that protect human decency, compassion, and empathy WE stand for our fellow human beings whether they are immigrants or not WE speak out when we see our fellow human beings being hurt or when they are looked at condescendingly

And WE the People stand up against a Nazi SCOTUS and all Nazis who want to look the other way and demand that WE the People are all created equal This is America and WE the People demand that hate does not exist And when WE see injustice and exhibitions of hate WE stand up to the bullying and intimidation because that’s who WE are!! Everyone else is a statement of indecency and immorality They can’t help it because that’s who they are

The murder of millions of people as a result of the constant flow of drugs like fentanyl into this country I suppose is all right with you. It is not all right with me. The drugs are manufactured in China but other countries support the distribution of same into the USA. I wish you would report on this awful situation as well as you report on "illegal strikes" against the people who are actually delivering this plague to our children.

As a member of the Christian faith I do not believe that anyone should be murdered. However, this does not mean that people should not be punished for doing horrible crimes. Life in prison without the possibility of parol seems to be a good punishment for murder, it may even be worse than the death penalty because the alternate choice of spending the rest of your life in prison may make the death penalty more acceptable.

You have a right to defend yourself against people who mean to do you harm, but that "right" has limits. You could spend many hours arguing religious doctrine on this but the message of Jesus was that hate has no place anywhere. Only he who is without sin can caste the first stone. That does not in anyway people should not be punished for wrongdoing, what it means is that judging others means judging yourself with the same scrutiny. It was clear to Jesus that even if adultry was a sin (and they only punished women in those days not men for doing the exact same thing) it did not deserve the death penalty, especially in such a brutal and horrible way. I believe that if Jesus was alive today he would have been CLEARLY AGAINST THE FATAL shooting of Mr. Kirk and as a follower of Christianity I too am totatly against what happened which is a horrible crime.

I do not like Trump and I never voted for him and never will. No one with an ethical mind whatever their views on religion or anything else for that matter could support this horrible man!
