I keep saying this, but I lived through all of this, and I can't remember it all. Thank you for putting these newsletters together so I can be reminded of the criminality and stupidity of the past week. These newsletters are a gem!!!!

Excellent week summary- Sadly, each week is a horrific dismantling of our country and democracy.

Always, you clarify and educate. Glad to be a paid subscriber now, after just subscribing for several months.

There is but one problem with the weekly newsletter -- as soon as I start reading it, someone invariably starts chopping onions.

Can't say i 'like any of this, but i do thank you for compiling it all. What a disastrous regime! Your friends in Canada mourn the loss of our friend, the imperfect but wonderful USA.

What I learned from this account of the week’s governmental actions: Despite rampant incompetence on the part of the actors, the destruction of the United States proceeds at unbelievable speed by issued proclamations instead of established constitutional protocol.

Thanks for the NYTimes link for the article on the prisoner swap. See: “residents returned“ :

Particularly stunning to read this line:

< Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement that the U.S. citizens and permanent residents had been arrested and jailed in Venezuela “without proper due process” and called for the “restoration of democracy in Venezuela.” >

Hypocrisy is in every corner of this administration.

Why are we still posting and reporting on Xitter? It’s hardly a reliable source, and certainly not primary. Yesterday I got a newsletter I really like that featured a poster encouraging folks to drop Xitter, then went on to ask everyone to share the newsletter on Xitter! Democracy Docket is the only subscription I have that doesn’t promote X, it uses BlueSky instead. More of that please!

I will soon start dropping subscriptions that are using Xitter.

I'm not willing to give up yet. If need be, another Revolutionary War comes to mind.
