this is brilliant because Mehdi makes the critically important distinction between Uwe's motivation (cynical, money) and how his film is used -- despite Uwe's attempt to squirm out of it by saying "I'm just a guy making movies."

Piers has been for Israel all his life. Idiot. If you don't hate Israel, you haven't been paying attention.

This director wants to have his cake while eating it. He claims his movie has no agenda and then lists his personal grievances as those of the general population. He has plenty to say about how Europeans are not safe and are tired of not being safe.

also that point about Army Hammer was bravisimo.

Will The Electorate Allow The Nazi Republicans To Buy Elections?

On the eve of our country’s birthday the Founders would never have imagined that one of the hot political topics of the day is whether corporations and individuals with a lot of $$ would be able to buy candidates or buy election results.

Yet here we are, confronted by people or companies with unimaginable wealth attempting to buy power and political influence by flooding our elections with vast amounts of $$. And the partisan SCOTUS just furthered the Nazi scheme to buy elections, supporting the effort to the presidentially stated fact that the Nazi Republicans will interfere with the upcoming elections.

So WE need to mobilize and decimate this fascist movement. WE need to ignore all the propaganda that the wealthy are buying in ads and instead talk to our friends, neighbors, family, and to anyone who will listen to US that WE can begin to collectively take our country back in the upcoming midterms in November. If one wants to join like minded souls, join a local Indivisible group to lend more power to your voice. This is an all hands on deck moment.

“Movies never affect anything,”Says Uwe who puts out Birth of a Nation for the modern world. Right wingers are already rampaging through the streets and rioting against anybody who is an immigrant. What a creep. What a sociopath. He and Elon Musk, quite the pair.

Funny these guys keep talking about immigrant rapists—yet we have a convicted sex trafficker who is currently living the high life at Club Fed (Ghlaine Maxwell).

We have an administration that refuses to indict any rapists associated with Epstein, and a president that continues to give pardons to rapists (Tate brothers), drug dealers (pres of Honduras), amd to any white criminal who has $2 million sitting around. Not to mention, he is most likely a rapist himself.

So much for the far right actually caring about rape—it’s all about The Great Replacement Theory and destroying the EU and NATO—no different than the election being about Hunter’s graft, the price of gas or eggs.

These are mere distractions—Trump, Musk and the far right want to destroy the EU and NATO; immigration is the excuse. A divided Europe is easy pickings for the oligarchs and Trump. IMHO…:)

I couldn't keep watching. The directer was too disgusting. He misses all the worst movies, and thinks that if there are bad, stupid, formulaic movies out there now it's because they're trying too hard to be politically correct. There's so many other reasons for bad movies - like mindless, pointless violence and a stupid story.

Thank you, but that was way too dark. I am afraid young people will be radicalized from this movie.

Young people are way more intelligent than you think they are.

Hatred for a group of people just because of an adjective mean you have a gaping hole in your soul.

Uwe Boll? We gamers know him as someone who made the worst video-game-tie-in movies of all time. Fortunately, they're a lot better now, but when Boll made them, they were at their nadir. It makes sense that Uwe Boll is a fascist because he's definitely artless…but then again, even the Nazis could do art under Leni Riefenstahl, and the American equivalent with Birth of a Nation, so are standards for fascist art just not there anymore?

Irena Halder's avatar

Anyone who wants to see a film like Uwe Boll’s cannot discern the difference between art and trash. Fuelling right wing, fascist, anti immigrant propaganda is a cheap trick. Just the fact that Elon Musk supports it will hopefully keep people away in droves. I hope the film fails spectacularly - it deserves to.
