Such idiocy. Tolerance breeds intolerance. It's like Israel is TRYING to promote the conditions for another Holocaust.

I guess they forgot about Charlottesville, "good guys" on both sides? I guess they haven't paid any attention to the brazen anti-Semetism spouted every single day on Fox News or by MAGA Republicans (e.g. all the George Soros talk)?

MAGA isn't even trying to hide its anti-Semetism, but Israelis are oblivious. Why? Because Ivanka converted to Jewdaism? She and Kushner are also currently living off a $1 billion Saudi bribe. Where do you think their loyalties actually lie?

So for short-term gain, they're willing to promote a fascist even though fascists pretty much universally end up scapegoating Jews and persecuting them.

It's bizarre that Israelis seem incapable of understanding that THEIR ONLY protection as a pariah state, is the United States. Thankfully, for them, Dems have been equally spineless in holding Israel to account.

But on the Republican front, even if you naively believe Trump won't harm Israel because the daughter he wants to bed is Jewish, the same will definitely not apply to his MAGA replacement (guy's heart is a ticking time bomb). MAGA is horrendously anti-Semetic so it stands to reason his replacement will be as well.

Or hell, Trump just decides one day for whatever the hell reason occurs to him in his insane mind, that the U.S. is done paying for Israel's belligerence (would be 100% on brand). That is the day the state of Israel, ceases to exist.

But these idiots would rather have an unpredictable psychopath control their fate, as opposed to a neutered Democratic administration?

Sigh, but what do I know? The U.S. just elected a dude who made a campaign promise to literally be a dictator. Christ, not even Germans ever gave the Nazi party a majority vote.

Countries outside the US-EU set need to take over the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. The US-EU are just going to sit back and let Israel continue the genocide. They won't lift a finger to help the Palestinians. Ever. So, over to the rest of the world.

To be clear, Europe created this situation in the first place. The British ruled Palestine and pulled out and said the Jews could have it in response to the holocaust. Then there were media drops to both peoples spewing hatred for the other peoples to breed distrust between people who used to live peacefully together. Keeping the fight going makes money (they buy weapons) and kept the region unstable and therefore kept gas prices low. So yet again, the Jews were made to be the middle man for colonialist enterprises. But perhaps Europe knows better now.

Israel will make Gaza concentration camp even smaller for the 2m population. They will starve, introduce diseases, for the eventual extinction of the Palestinians. So Arab and Muslim countries wake up to this holocaust and make your presence felt.

Diana, the world does understand who these characters are, would the world do anything about it? No country is standing up for the oppressed. No Arab country, no Muslim country, No Christian Country, or for that matter no Secular democracy is challenging the so-called Fascist Settler Democracy of Israel. The US and UK are owned by the Benjamin/AIPAC, they do not have the spine to stand against the Israeli government

Yes, it is very possible that the incoming Administration may accede to their request of recognizing the West Bank and Gaza as an integral part of the Settler Colonial State of Israel. As long as the indigenous Palestinians are allowed to have their homes intact and are given more rights than an occupied people/population they may be better off.

So we may have over 7 million Jews and 7 million Arabs living in the same country as old South Africa. Sooner or later the country will not remain Jewish but a secular democracy like what South Africa became. The other two possibilities are 1. The Israeli “FINAL SOLUTION” of the Palestinians and the other, sorry to say, another European solution that happened in Germany. Israel and Israelis need to make the choice and not let history repeat itself.

I am so sorry to hear that your Israeli neighbors are responding this way. I personally know of many Israelis who are 100% opposed to the genocide in Gaza and to Trump. There are enormous numbers of Jews in Israel and in the US who understand that the well-being of both people’s is inextricably linked. Generational trauma is to blame for the fear and pain that causes such aggression- not rational thought. I am deeply pained by this horrific violence in the name of survival and appreciate hearing your story.

Fair enough. I guess the key point in my mind is where it comes from and how understanding that is the key to moving forward.

Diana Buttu's essay is worth saving because it essentially includes all the wrong of Israel as it begins it final push to obliterate any hope of a Palestinian Nation and to build Greater Israel on the rubble, bones and bodies of the indigenous peoples, abandoned by Republicans and Democrats alike. Add to that the choosing of Amb-ASS-ador Huckster Huckabee who will not acknowledge Palestine or Palestinians and who loves Israel to death--literally waiting for its end that will hasten the return of Mr. Jesus. He's an American Christian Nationalist, a fellow Zionist with Biden and Bibi, and a heartless human being. This is where we are. To those of us working in many organizations to make a miracle happen with Palestinians alive in their own sovereign land, don't stop. We must show the hope and resilience and resistance that they show, which is also a miracle.

Support www.inara.org. INARA gives a lot of support to Gaza and Libanon. Donations are welcome and needed. I have supported INARA for many years now - found them brilliant.

Besides a lot of things that I will not mention here, I find the (jewish) israeli mindset regarding Gaza and the Palestinian people fascinating. They really don´t care about what is being done to them but are incredibly angry at the people around the world criticizing them. Again, I´ll better not say what i think about them but I find it fascinating.
