What strikes me most is the Bernie Sanders attack. Stevens calls his position a linkage to “extremism or Jihad” - directed at a sitting senator who is Jewish and who endorsed El-Sayed. Read it as a straightforward statement and it’s bizarre. Read it as a proxy attack on El-Sayed himself while maintaining plausible deniability and it makes a certain kind of sense. She can’t go after her own endorsee directly without looking worse than she already does, but she can go after the most prominent voice who backed him. Same message, cleaner hands. The Jerusalem Post audience understood exactly what she was doing.

For those who are campaigning for positions in the legislative branch, my watch words are around the party in the minority. As they profess the need to do more and how they would accomplish that goal, if elected. I hope they paid attention in Civic class because the truth is when you are in the minority, there are few things that you can do.
The minority’s job is to slow the process down enough that there is time for deliberation, debate, and time for the minority’s voices to be heard before a vote goes to the floor. The theater of this Trump era becomes ever so obvious. Especially when the Speaker of the House states - the barbarians of the left, the communist, NeoNazis are taking over the United States - you realize just how much power the position holds.

We're against a state with different categories of citizenship for people of different religions. Israel has to have different legal rights for Jews and non Jews if it's going to stay a Jewish state. So, logically, if I don't want apartheid, I can't accept a Jewish state.
I don't mind if we have a state called Israel, but it has to include right of return for people who have been forced out, and equal rights under the law for everyone who lives there.
