If you are referring to Mehdi Hasan, he hasn't just come out of nowhere - he has worked for lots of reputable broadcasters, media organisations and newspapers. He really has worked his way up to deserve this success, all whist keeping his integrity intact.
You should definitely check him out and his books too!

This is truly incredible news that Zeteo have acquired the rights to show this film important film. The BBC’s refusal to report honestly about the genocide is beyond a national disgrace. The state broadcaster is complicit in shielding Israel while it conducts its war crimes all with the continued assistance of the British state. You must hear this all the time but I am proud to be a Zeteo supporter, the work you do is vital and your journalists help make the world a better, more informed place. Time may be short on this excellent documentary about Palestine Action, because the organization may be banned in the UK, and from there, most likely the film. The UK government is trying to designate them as a terrorist organisation. You can watch the film online, but come Monday, 30 June, after the UK Parliament meets, who knows. These are y/our freedoms on the line.
