We knew this day was coming, and we know much worse is to follow.

Though the obvious question from our side should be the same as Ryan’s at TAP.

My theory is that Garland knew where the threads led and chose not to follow those linkages.

Or, maybe the Mule theory Ryan put forth:

https://prospect.org/2025/11/13/how-are-we-just-now-hearing-about-trumps-hours-with-epstein-victim/

“But I have just one question: Was President Biden’s pick to run federal law enforcement, former Attorney General Merrick Garland, kicked in the head by a particularly irritable mule right before assuming office in 2021, and did he thereby spend the next four years wandering around the Justice Department bumping into things and saying, “It feels like I am forgetting something. Where am I?” Because otherwise his term in office is looking like the greatest law enforcement failure in American history, and Biden’s decision to nominate Garland the most catastrophic personnel decision by any Democratic president since James Buchanan.”

I believe Garland was selected as AG as compensation for not getting on the Supreme Court b/c Mitch McConnell felt Obama was a lame duck. (The hypocrite, MM, permitted Trump to nominate Amy Coney Barrett in his lame duck year, but I digress.) Garland probably did pursue Trump b/c DT always whined how the Democrats were on a witch hunt. Too, "Playing it Safe" Garland really dropped the ball on not going after Trump for Jan. 6. The Democrats really need some pitbulls on their team as well as bigger⚾️⚾️.

Love the newsletter. Surprised you didn’t connect the dots that today’s trivia answer is the spouse of Trump Administration Cabinet member Sean Duffy.

This Epstein thing so big iceberg that's why it does not go away last 15 years. It will finalize when Trump and some of his best friends end up in prison. I tell you, I feel it starts to move that direction.

As an extremely ancient person, I worried that I might join the celestial choir before Tru*p went to jail, but in the meantime, as I obediently take my daily pills, I can manage a smile, thinking this will do. This will suffice…

This reads like poetry to me:

"There is a lot more to come down the pike, but sudden Situation Room meetings and panicked, breathless calls to backbench lawmakers code a lot more like the Berlin bunker in 1945 than God-King holding court in Mar-a-Lago."

HOW ABOUT IMPEACHMENT #3 THAT STICKS

Thanks Peter . You bring up one very valid point that is not emphasized enough; that Biden, Garland and the comatose DOJ, sat on this information and more, for 4 years. In fact it is Biden and Garland that are DIRECTLY responsible for this Trump election and this NAZI regime that America is experiencing now. This was old Democratic Party indifference that was criminal. This is why the Democratic must rid itself of this old wood and old thinking.

There are several issues that factor into my conclusions here, but I will stress Biden and Garland's utter failure to support the Constitution and the attempted coup January 20. They and the Democrat failed America on day one of the Biden presidency. Nation wide investigation and prosecution of all coup strategy planners , ( not just the MAGA limp dick followers ) should have initiated and day one. They failed to uphold the Rule of Law. Now look at the fucking mess America is in. WEAK. WEAK. WEAK. that is what the American Democratic Party is. This Party had better change or America will be under NAZI rule and a very good ally of V. Putin.

the race to replace Rep. Jerry Nadler is shaping up to be an utter shit show.

You didn't get into it, but I hope you do.

I live in the 12th, and I agree with the description. Got an email from Schlossberg yesterday asking for donations. So I emailed back pointing out that he had not divulged a position/program/POV except being JFK's grandson. Also that I had no time for centrists, voted on the WFP line, and so on. Alas, it bounced back so his email address is no good and he missed a useful educational tip or three!

Great newsletter, Peter! Let us just say that trump is up to his eyeballs in "young girls". But Epstein called it correctly on don: HE IS EVIL! This - pedophilia- is the MOST unforgivable of sins! Hopefully, Satan has gotten the fire started FOR ALL the creeps that end up falling out of these files!

After Trump said he wouldn’t release the files, Bondi claimed something about what she had already released and I think she said, well, I am not going to release child pornography — to me, that meant - pictures and, more importantly, videos. But, in my house, we think he is scared of more than a possible sex tape, he is scared of the money he made with Epstein. How? Maybe by bringing in girls for him like he did at a party of girls with just him and Epstein after some competition. Maybe he laundered money for Epstein like he did for the Russian mob. Not sure, but if Epstein was making money, he wanted a piece.

How could AG Garland sit on this stinky shit? Easy. His first (& only?) allegiance was to the Heritage Foundation not the American Constitution.

Thanks Peter!

So I have to say that when you mentioned Garland's role, it is something that I have been thinking about a lot as more information comes out. Where is Jake Tapper's book on that malfeasance??? I agree I don't think that it was some political crap like the likes of Bondi and Patel, but like Jesus Christ man, just based on principles of raping and sex trafficking young girls is bad--period--not being enough to get off your ass and do the right thing is PROFOUND!! He should be ashamed of himself.

I don't know if you saw it, but the report in Middle East Eye about the first person accounts of the sexual torture that Palestinian prisoners were subjected to by Israeli guards is, quite frankly, some of the most vile shit I have read. I mean they are training dogs to know how to rape prisoners as a way of making sexual torture even more humiliating--like what the sick fuck is wrong with you as a person dreaming that shit up! The depths of the depravity are just monumental, and then what is happening in Sudan & how those men are proudly filming their heinous violence of the innocent people. There is a direct line between the astounding audacity of filming your horrors with glee and joyous smiles in Gaza by Israeli soldiers and in El-fashar. It just makes me so sick.

on a lighter note, I know it is weird but I am pretty bothered by the fact that the penny is no more. Like what did it ever do to them? It served its purpose and it filled my car cupholders for years! I will miss you penny!

"First, how the HECK did the Biden administration sit on this?" Here's my thought: Political Strategy. I think Biden was so certain that he would win a second term that he was waiting for that moment when he would be free to sic the legal beagle DOJ on that SOB's ass. Chasing trump down in the first term might have negative results...Give the maga mob a chance to rally to their lunatic POS "leader". (love those acronyms) Garland's lack of energy probably came from Biden..."Don't Make Waves".

There are likely well-connected Dems in the same files that name Trump. If Garland outed then former President Trump, he would have had to out any other former Presidents on the list. Quite the conundrum until you realize you are talking about pedophiles.

The anxiousness of many people wanting to finally catch Trump under the Epstein net is laughable. This guy is such a squirmy, slippery, skunky, slink that he'll manage to dodge the Epstein bullet. He's already got his lawyers in court trying to untangle the 36, whatever, counts he was convicted with in NYC.
