Greetings, Zeteo! Flippin' loving the content y'all are sharing with such diligence and integrity. With that said, I have a really big ASK. I realise that I may have to post this same request on nearly every Zeteo platform that I am subscribed to and as such, I will endeavour to generate a reply that really gets a new standard in line with the independent and high journalistic standards that you all have established individually and collectively. Here is my ASK:

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM REPORTING THAT "BIDEN HAS PROPOSED..." or "BIDEN HAS DONE... " or "BIDEN HAS CREATED..." This, That or The Other Policy, Legislation or Department flow!!! I believe that with all of your collective skills and knowledge about the internal workings of the U.S: Gov't apparatus (UK, as well), it would not be too difficult to ascertain (and accurately report) the REAL process that goes into just about any policy proposal - especially a progressive one - that comes from this administration, and give CREDIT TO THE ACTUAL PEOPLE IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS WHO REALLY WRITE AND CREATE AND LIVE THESE PROPOSALS, POLICIES and AGENDA INITIATIVES!

If one looks at Biden's record over the decades and were to leave him to his own positions, vices and stated objectives (Crime, Bill, being a self-identified Zionist, etc), HE would never create any of these policies and he should not be given active credit. Yes, theoretically "he" appointed the various people in the various departments, BUT... even that comes via advice from the real progressive experts in their respective fields and "his" administration would NOT be "his administration" without REAL FOLK doing the REAL WORK!

I say this rather emphatically, because we are literally led to believe the HE is so frikkin' smart and progressive that HE came up with these ideas...??? No way and it has to stop at the journalistic level as a new standard of practice. Believe me, I am not telling you all how to do your job, BUT... when a particular person within or at the head of a particular department (yes, working for the president's administration) writes in depth about how to approach certain policies, etc - THEY are doing it because they believe in their work and that is what they do and in fact, How they got to the hired in the first place. Biden and the rest of the upper-ups, know that aligning with these ideas, strategies and policy proposals (and only a few at time at extremely strategic times), clearly know that these things will allow him and his "legacy" to remain relevant. Look at how the democratic candidates show up at Black churches at campaign time...C'Mon! We are not fooled by this anymore...even though many still are. Y'all remember the movie BULWORTH? A classic scene where the main politician character played by Warren Beatty, says clearly and truthfully (even though he was sleep deprived and stoned): "The Democratic Party doesn't care about YOU!" - How true. That is not to say that PEOPLE who happen to be members of the Democratic Party or who vote Democrat do not care... but as an apparatus, no way. It is and has always been about the upholding and solidifying of the combination of imperialism, colonialism and capitalism on a global scale to remain the dominant political, economic, militaristic and albeit "cultural" force on this Earth. FACTS!

We all know far too well that Biden in his political career has enacted and empowered some of the most harmful legislation this country has ever seen and its impact on the poor and powerless is clear (to you all, I know). It needs to stop how he is given credit for the progressive movements that are ONLY made possible by forward thinking people (who have yet to actually resign from his administration). And Kamala Harris is no exception to this idea. SHE did not raise all that money for her new campaign... the money was raised FOR her to HAVE a campaign because it mainly serves the interests of the folk who were already behind Biden (and that is another story worth continuing to tell and expose... (please report on her recent "activities" in South America).

This "two-party" system is a fraud and we all know it. They are all gasping for life and relevance on both sides of the aisle and it is absolutely up to us as the masses of people AND the journalists we trust, to continue to expose the illusion and hypocrisy that abounds in the halls of so-called government.

This FACT remains:

While democratic activities and processes exist WITHIN America, America itself is NOT a Democracy. It is a business, it is set up as a business and it is run as a business with various shadow CEOs and the like running the show. We all know this and yes... the devil is in the details which are mostly in the dark.

* Someone please explain to America EXACTLY what the "D.C." (District of Columbia) means in the name of the "nation's capital, Washington D.C. and how it came to be and how it is manifested in the day to day existence of how the "states" are set up. Not to mention the egregious fraud of the Electoral College System!!!! ~ Let the Truth be known. Thanks for reading (if you did). Blessings

very Well noted. Biden is still part of conservative democrat that slow talk the major fundamental changes needed for future generation.

I agree with you totally. There are a lot of sincere and competent people in many of the administrative departments.

I take major exception to the lady that stated Biden is an institutionalist - that is not true, Biden has a limited and totally deficit knowledge of history. He has no concept of the institutions, not even how they have changed while he was in "government service."

What about the bad decisions? Aren't we going to apply the same critique there?

For example, quite a few members in the administration pressured Biden, to send 2000 pound bombs to Israel. Thank god he refused. He and Harris definitely get the praise there.

You are semi-quite correct, Carina. Truth be told and facts be faced... We can be sure that there are plenty of folk in the administration who should both share and carry the blame for bad decisions and/or deserving of close critique on their respective opinions and advice given to the POTUS, etc..that could have caused harm via those relative measures. BUT ~~~~> I cannot give Biden nor Harris any credit for refusing to send that particular shipment of 2000 pound bombs. The FACT is that they are both guilty of enabling, funding and arming an active genocide (for decades, long-term support on record) and deciding to hold back a pittance of bombs while already having sent BILLIONS worth of financial aid, technology, arms, bombs and plenty of political and diplomatic cover...uuuuh, NOPE! No credit. Definitely a good thing that there were at least that many fewer bombs, but the U.S. keeps on sending more & more & more AND doubling down on their unmitigated support for the occupation and all of its harrowing consequences. The only credit that could be given in that direction is a complete reversal of policy, STOPPING ALL FINANCIAL AID AND ARMS SHIPMENTS!!!!! Plus recognizing the Palestinian State 100%, as well as abide by the ICC and ICJ rulings IN FULL + the completely unlikely, yet "credit-worthy" action... Turning himself in as an accomplice to genocide, apartheid and crimes against humanity.

One might argue that this list above is crazy talk...yet let us watch history unfold and if any of us are around in 20, 30, 40, 50 years... we will see the documents and secret communications leaked or released and all of this will be proven. We know the truth. the occupation must end. It is illegal by ANY & ALL standards of International law and therefore, the WH top brass get absolutely NO credit for partial and ineffective measures that are only for temporary good PR and not for everlasting peace FOR the region. Blessings on Blessings.

Israel has executed the most unthinkable humiliations and abuse on the Palestinian people, and yet, US stand by their ally, no matter what.

I am appalled and perplexed, that a democratic government

can support this. I agree with you completely. I just used “praise” as an example of the opposite happening.

Thank You for writing back!

Wasn't that just a "pause"?

Maybe so, I never heard they sent one. They are onto other endeavors in Middle East right now, sending ships and troops, due to escalations in other areas.

Biden changed his mind; pretty good for an old man.

Well, then Biden is the current king. Don’t let this sit until Trump and the right wing greedsters become king. Arrest the corrupt justices as an official presidential act to preserve democracy, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, the right to descent….

I was democrat for the entire time I have been in the US. I came down from Canada. 4 weeks ago I switched my voter registration to independent. I will no longer support a party that sends aid to Israel. I realized that this is the only power I have. I will no longer support any democratic candidate at all. Ever. Even if they are progressives. If you go to congress under the banner of the party of Biden, you're complete shit in my opinion. In my unforgivable ignorance I sent money to the likes of chuck Shumer and Mark Kelly, I sent money to DCCC. What a fucking fool I was buying into their bullshit. I sent literally thousands to people that lick the ass of Natenyahoo. What was it 60 standing ovations for Bibi while he uttered lie after lie after lie!? After much reading I have learned that we killed over a 100 million native Americans to start this country. Is it any wonder that we applaud the Israeli efforts to exterminate the native population. Genocide was the foundation of the United States of America. Now it stands with Israel. Two peas in a pod. How quaint.

You were not a fool, Paul. A lot of us have made that mistake. The Mainstream Media does not cover the news we need to hear.. To maintain access to the DC political bubble, they serve as propaganda agents for the elites. Venezuela, for example, the USA has recognized the loser as the recent election, a rightwing candidate with only 44.2% of the vote, while Maduro got 51.2% of the vote, with 4.6% of the vote (combined) going to 8 other candidates. Reuters, I believed, showed this in a graphic giving 4.6% of the vote to each of 3 other candidates - inaccurate to the hilt. There are several sources documenting the truth but nothing about it in Mainstream Media that I have heard of yet.

They support the rightwing loser because they want to steal Venezuela's resources that have been classified by Venezuela as utilities for all of Venezuela There is lot more I could write about it, but the point is that facts are not reaching much of the USA population.

Note also though, it is these types of actions that create refugee and border crises, especially for the USA.

Yes. I agree. We complain about all the migrants knocking at our door while we do nothing to alleviate the pressures on those people. Venezuelan sanctions were almost certainly promulgated and encouraged by the oil industry. Actually much of our legislation is written by corporations, but that for a different day. We live in a plutocracy that has its claws so deep in our cultural and economic life that I can't see beyond it. Depressing. Awfully depressing.

good interview and people on the panel. i think the important issue is to make sure we offer and demand progressive policy alternatives. thank you

Let’s do it. Less talk, no excuses and more action. Our current form of government as a democratic republic with checks and balances as well as having everyone adhere to the rule of law depends on it.

Wajahat: I don’t want to offend you, but I also don’t want to fully discard my point, for the sake of soft language. So, all I can do is say my piece, and hope that you can see my point without feeling attacked.

From my point of view: It’s painful to watch you say, “Finally, finally, finally, I think (the Democrats) realize they need to play hardball.”

It gives me that same type of credulity-induced dread that I get every time someone in a position of influence, uses their public platform to convince people that “today’s the day Trump finally became presidential,” or that “Trump is taking a new tone” (as if he heard Jesus through the new hole in his ear).

Your assertion is baseless; it’s your own irrational hope, presented as if it is the Democrats’ intention. There is no reason to believe that the Democrats have learned anything, and it’s reckless to suggest they have, because when people believe that someone has learned their lesson, people stop trying to TEACH it.

There’s nothing new or hopeful about Biden’s actions. He refused to do the EFFECTIVE thing that people asked him to do in his first 100 days, and instead, he dragged his feet for three years, then did something INEFFECTUAL. Or more accurately: He offered a tenuous & conditional PROMISE to do something ineffectual.

Side note, Wajahat: Every time you portray your own perfectly valid statements of objective fact — like saying, “it’s a rogue court that exists purely to implement a white-nationalist utopia” — as if anyone reasonable would call it, “so radical and extreme,” you’re helping to normalize the far-right. The reason I’m pointing that out is because I trust that you have no intention to offer any such aid. I hope you’ll give it some thought, and curtail that pernicious habit, which subconsciously helps the far-right portray reality, itself, as “radical.” YOU are not "radical or extreme." People who are far to your left are not “radical or extreme.” People who use far stronger language than you do, are not “radical or extreme.” Please consider that.

When you write about the 'conservative' party, I suggest adding descriptor words like 'today's radical', or 'today's cult-like', or 'today's extremist'. Because today's Republicans are not conservative, and it is misleading to describe them as such. I think journalists can help our country realize that parties are fluid and we cannot assume that the party is in sync with its superposed ideals. Case in point: The former ideals of the Republican party during Lincoln's time matches the ideals of today's Democratic Party.

Sarah: I can see how people might have hesitated to actively join your organization in the beginning (most people are struggling for time), but “the people” seemed ready for Supreme Court reform BEFORE day-one of the current presidency. Normal people don't view corrupt institutions with any great reverence. It’s the corrupt politicians — who, themselves, benefit from institutional reverence — who try to impose feelings of reverence for these institutions.

The people were well aware that they’d been hijacked. People were picketing in the streets for Biden to expand the court. I presume that that was in part your organization (well done), but it has to have been more than your organization alone.

It was never “the people” who were unwilling to expand the Supreme Court; the people were never allowed to have any say in the matter. It was always Biden. It’s STILL Biden. Even now that he has stalled for so long that it’s too late to get anything done, Biden still refuses to even TALK about Supreme Court expansion. Because Biden is the obstruction.

First Biden ran out the clock, then he offered far too little, once it was clearly too late. Biden is what he has always been. Among other horrible things, Biden is the same creep who was so sleazy in his oversight of the Anita Hill hearing, that I felt compelled to check whether his hands were above the table.

It's Joe who gave Clarence that robe & it's Joe who obstructed SCOTUS reform.
