This information needs to be front and center in news outlets everywhere. Why isn't it?

Thank you for this. Very impactful. There is no excuse for continuing to vote for US politicians who have supported the genocide. This includes Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of R.I.; former VP Kamala Harris; Sen. Cory Booker (NJ); Sen. Chuck Schumer (NY); Sen. Adam Schiff (CA); Rep. Adam Smith (WA); Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY); Sen. John Fetterman (PA); Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY); most Republicans, and too many additional Democrats — too many to list.

You're absolutely correct. Many of those named received huge amounts of money from groups like AIPAC, a pro-Israel American organization. Because of the bad publicity, instead of listing the politicians they bought and for how much, they now funnel the funds through an "educational" arm into the PACS they do not have to reveal the source of funds and how much., At Partners for Palestine we have a list of dozens of these politicians from both parties who have traveled up to 16 times to Israel in the last five months and how much their trips cost us. It also includes a questionnaire we will ask them about why they went, who they met with, and if they also met with Palestinians. If their staff members are included as well as other government individuals, the number jumpts to over 500 trips.

Wow. Thank you for your work with Partners for Palestine. Good questions. I’ll look for the answers. Does P for P have a website?

Hello Nancy--thanks for asking. Our website is www.partnersforpalestine.org Our members include the former Consul to Jerusalem, the wife of the UN Representative of Palestine, and a nominee for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize nominated by the former president of Ireland. We work every day to save lives. It is never enough. Best wishes. and thanks again.

Thanks, Daniel. I will use this group as a resource. I belong to a small, local pro-Palestinian group that is trying to expand its outreach and its actiivities. I am sending modest donations to candidates who reject Israel lobby money and who will support a boycott.

It will never cease to boggle my mind that America, the 'shining city on the hill', sees what is going on in Gaza... and shrugs. As a kid in the 70s and 80s, I was convinced we were the 'good guys'. We were the helpers. We were the country with the power (and money) to help others. Then... I grew up. At the end of the day, the leadership of the US and Israel are in bed together and there doesn't seem to be any hope of that changing soon.

The US doesn’t shrug. It deliberately weaponises it. It is complicit in genocide & the most egregious crimes against humanity. Just calling a spade a spade.

Thank you for the article, it’s my biggest belief the genocide will continue with Israel 🇮🇱 killing Palestinian people. BIBI needs to be voted out or resign immediately.

How many horrific numbers will it take before the world’s leaders do something to help the Palestinian people?💔🇵🇸

kdsherpa's avatar

This is HORRIFYING! Obviously, I'm sharing. Will Israeli Jews see these numbers? Will American Jews? I so hope they will. It's so important to understand the scope of what is happening. I truly believe that there are a significant number of people who will opt out of supporting the Israeli government if they had this information.

This information is critically important. I know my vote is important and I shall do my best to get democratics in power. But there must be more. Please tell me what we can do to help the people of Palestine.

I have made comments on Zeteo, and recently I realized that one of the people commenting on my comment was a young man from Gaza. I read about him. He was an interior decorator who obviously can no longer practice his gift, and now cooks for dozens of children in the refugee camp where he and his wife live. His wife is a poet. She organizes activities for children. I subscribed to both of their substacks, and am paying the $8/mon. for each. Most of the money goes toward buying groceries for the children and medicine for some adults. Through them, I have met two other fascinating young people living in Gaza: a gentle young woman who rescues homeless animals, and a brilliant woman who was an architect and is now in a camp with her 8 yo daughter. Her writing is truly exquisite. I am paying for subscriptions to their substacks as well. It is turning out to be an extraordinary experience because, for the first time, I am getting a clear view of who these refugees are, and how they are being forced to live. This is completely different from just reading little vignettes/snippets about people. It is also a way to get a little bit of money directly into the hands of people who need it, rather than go through an impersonal organization. (Having said that, there are some wonderful organizations out there to which I donate.) Look for readers on this substack with Arabic names, and see if that leads you to their substack. Once there, you will find a wonderful network of their friends and "neighbors" (fellow camp-dwellers).

I am deeply moved by your reaching out to Gazans. I am constantly overwhelmed by the resilience of the Palestinians, their ability to forgive but not forget, and their undiminished hope for a better future.

They show themselves to be truly remarkable people. Why the Israeli government wants to kill them all (Ben-Gvir, for one) is WAY beyond me.

Israel will never recover, It has lost the right to exist.

Men who mass murder children, Forfeit the right to exist.

According to the civilised world.

Zeteo provides an indictment of the crimes against humanity by Bibi, and Ben Gvir, and Smotrich, and sadly the majority of Israelis who sanction Old Testament revenge. After the killing of 29 Israeli children including Kfir and Ariel Banas, they have slaughtered more than 22,000 Palestinian children. Here's some instances that our "Partners for Palestine" (P4P) are aware of. A Tampa Florida ice cream store owner, Sayfa Mussalet, visited family in the West Bank and when their homes were attacked by extremist settlers he helped defend them. He was beaten to death and the ambulance coming to give aid was destroyed. Sayfa's 13-year-old cousin Mohamed Ibrahim, also from Tampa, was thrown into an Israeli prison without charges, without legal representation, and with no contact with family for eight long months. Members of P4P welcomed him home after putting pressure on the State Dept. and found he lost half his body weight with a skin disease, and PTSD. A nurse friend who served in Gazan hospitals returned home and was notified that her sister in the West Bank had her daughter, 11 years old, killed when she was shot in the head by an IDF sniper while sitting in front of her home. A P4P member was participating in a Zoom meeting with a Palestinian deported from California back to the West Bank. The man sat with his six-year-old son on his lap and then said, "I hear a bulldozer outside. I'll be right back." He was shot in the head and killed by the bulldozer operator. A P4P member went to a village to help with the olive harvest but also to keep at bay people from the Jewish settlement above the village who stay away when outsiders are there. After he returned to Orlando he received a video taken when a group of settlers came into the village with their IDF security, knocked down a group of old men, and one who provided his home to our P4P member died of a heart attack. We are now trying to save the life of a young man in a wheelchair in Gaza with metal rods in his body--the tent the family was living in caught fire when the IDF attacked, and the metal rods were dislodged as his father dragged him from the tent. In unending agonizing pain, he now has grievous bed sores as he cannot sit up. We have found surgeons in Dubai who will treat him at a cost of $200,000 but his best option is a two-hour drive from Gaza through the Corridor into East Jerusalem where surgeons are waiting with an empty bed. The Israelis will not give permission for him to be transported out. Even if they did we know that the Red Crescent ambulance sent to rescue six-year-old Hind Rijab was destroyed despite IDF permission for its route to rescue the little girl who was shot to death while she begged her mother to come rescue her. These are the faces we see as we try to save Palestinian lives and restore Judiaic values to Israel.

I sent this in response to a reader's question about how to help the people in Gaza (see her question below). Just realized that it may be useful to other readers here, as well.
