If you want to get a real sense of MTG you should watch her recent appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher.
It is true that at the moment she sounds more sane than the likes of the Republican establishment.
But she's still got some MAGA bona fides:
1) Her declining support for Israel is part of a broader America-first agenda of not sending any money abroad to foreign nations.
2) Even though she criticises Trump-favoured policies, she is still praising Trump in public.
3) She wants Republicans to tackle the healthcare and food insecurity issues during the shutdown BUT she explicitly says that the root cause of high healthcare costs in particular is paying for the healthcare of illegal immigrants (even though they don't qualify for any of the healthcare programs).
MTG hasn't changed. I think she knows that the gig is up with the release of the Epstein files. That train has left the station and you can't bring it back. She has known what the GOP has been about for a long time. She knows Trump is in the files. She's getting ahead of it to keep her job - bread and circuses for her base. Her choice: loyalty to the leader or loyalty to herself to keep her cushy job? She will always choose herself.
Media and the left are doing to MTG what they did to Donald Trump in 2014-- "Wow! look at that." ...taking up space in our brain and normalizing. Please, not here, too. ... that is unless you're interested in a 2028 presidential contest where MTG and space lasers are front and center. Great for clicks and even for the media's need to feel they're giving everyone a fair break -- very, very bad for democracy, civic life in the town square, our mental health and so so much more. Please stop.

Did you mean that his policies and tariffs has significantly worsened the inflation??

I think MTG is more like Marvel's Mystique, as she's able to completely change her appearance for her own purposes, and then quickly change back to her true character. (BTW: I actually like Mystique, but I don't like MTG.) For MTG, this doesn't take cleverness, it simply takes advantage of performance art and clicks. I live in MO and have watched Josh Hawley do this for years. They don't have ideology; they have a thirst for power.

MTG - she wants to move to the Senate. Having to run every 2 years is soooo draining. Six years would be nice.
