I agree that this is the most unqualified, right-wing sycophant group that could soon be in charge of America’s top domestic intelligence and law enforcement agency. What a surprise for Trump's voters to find out who they vote for.
If people like this get in nobody other than serious boot lickers are safe. I'm not even being sarcastic. Flick of a pen and suddenly you are a terror suspect. At the very least expect to be detained before making flights, at worst...
"Every time we think Donald Trump couldn’t possibly make a more shocking or egregious appointment or nomination..." that's when we need to ask ourselves how human beings can get so complacent, so quickly.
We KNOW what he is, don't we?
If we were at all honest, we knew what Biden was, too. Long before he facilitated this phase of Israel's genocide against Palestinians. Long before Kamala called him out for being a segregationist. Long before Obama made him his token-racist (to quiet the psychopaths claiming a black president would make white people slaves). Even before he made a perverse, and perverted, mockery of the "hearing" of Anita Hill's valiant attempt to warn her country about Clarence Thomas. Biden has NEVER failed to advance wars of aggression & conquest, and he has never failed to advance the confederate social-order.
Trumpism was on its way back into office, the moment the Democratic Party overlords hijacked the primaries, to shove Biden down the throats of their base. Biden was meant to block Sanders, not Trump.
Two parties, no representation. The problem is so much bigger than trump.
"Two parties, no representation. The problem is so much bigger than trump."
Do you mean at the tippy top of the Democratic/DNC power structure, or are you saying they're both on the whole = parties in terms of representation?

In terms of how even some of the Democrats treat the middle east and anyone from it, I'd argue the problem is much bigger and only somewhat related to the issues at the DNC. Unfortunately it's an American societal issue, and in some ways Biden sadly reflects the average American's sentiment and thoughts on the situation. Ever since 9/11 it's only gotten worse and the average American's views on the middle east range from "...bomb the savages and turn the place to glass in a holy war..." to "...it's all been a mess for so long, there is nothing we can do but throw our arms up and cry into our morning starbucks...". Those two hands wash each other and have gotten us to where we are and we need to find ways to break that cycle without depending on sympathy coming first from the white house, which often changes hands, is beholden to too many interests, and very fickle.
I'm not arguing that not having a anti-genocidal, anti-arms sales president isn't worth fighting for, it is and it's crucial, but we can't lose sight of the harder longer fight ahead of us for the hearts and minds of the average American. It's an unfair burden to have, but it's there. Trickle down morals works about as good as it does for economics.
Like all the others, though, he's only a nominee. We need more people saying that these nominations are not a foregone conclusion - they can be blocked. We do not have to accept recess appointments as a done deal. We don't have to assume any of this is a done deal, actually. The only thing we can't undo at this point is Trump's winning by a slim margin. The rest is history yet to be written. Do we sit on our asses and say, "Please sir, may I have another?" Or do we demand better from our incoming Congress?
It's not too late for We the People to mobilize against these nominations. I don't think it's hopeless optimism to demand Congress work for the voters who elected them and tell them to do their most basic of jobs.
I think it's sensationalism to keep calling the nominees "appointees." Because it's not true.
The real story here will be how we rise up tp interrupt this foolishness.
Trump's party is about to be in control of both houses of congress plus the Supreme Court. There will be very little to be done to stop whatever nominations that he makes. As for "demand(ing) better from Congress," good luck with that. Our congress does not work for us. It works for the billionaires and corporations that own multiple mortgages to the campaigns these elected officials ran. The time to do something about this was prior to the election. What to do about situations like this one during future elections? Stop voting for campaigns that accept billionaire and corporate funding. Until people wake up and begin to do this, we're going to continue to be screwed.
Since we can't go back in time, we have to be in the present, though. If we don't even try then we are just accepting garbage/abusive leadership. I'm no Pollyanna about anything. But I refuse to give up because it will be hard. Please stop telling people it can't be done because you personally are grumpy and have given up all hope. I'm fighting like hell in spite of folks who think I should give up.
The trumpublicans created this mess. They are traitors and cowards who put power above justice, and could have ended this tragedy by impeaching him long ago. As the saying goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Patel is a bloodthirsty monster who will carry out Trump‘s agenda for revenge. And Democratic pundits today are slamming Biden for not keeping his word and instead pardoning his son??? Really? Is it any wonder he pardoned Hunter?
Oh, you know how it is, brown people, women, anyone that isn't a right wing male is held to a higher standard. Did Biden do bad in pardoning his son? Yes, but that's like a 1 or 2 on the GOP scale, however if you convert it using the GOP hypocrisy equation, that becomes a 6 to 7 rating. Time to raise the alarms!!!
This is another example of what FAFO looks like. Folks need to make as much noise as they can to block this nuts pick from getting in, but also be prepared for the next pick behind them to be just as dangerous but better at presenting a palatable front.
The FBI has a dossier on everyone. How can we forget J Edgar Hoover, who ran the agency from 1924 until his death in 1972? That's the history of the FBI.
So watch out Mehdi because Kash may be as vindictive as DJT.
All jokes aside, I am impressed that you predicted on MSNBC a couple of years ago, Wow.
Trump will do his best to destroy the Federal government.
Trump's picks for his cabinet are "absurd" declared an opinion show talking head. My response in agreement: Absurdity is the point. Trump spent his entire life fighting the Federal and State Governments, the main regulatory agencies of what he does - construction - housing. He studied under the master of litigators who also fought any sort of government authority, Roy Cohn. And tRump learned the lessons of Cohn well. Delay as long as possible, constantly be on the attack, never admit defeat, always claim to win, never ever apologize or admit wrong. On a whim he decided to attempt to increase his "brand" so tRump ran for president and his message of "flork you!" to government has resonated with those who think only tangentially about government and their place in the circle. Now the constant enemy of the good for the rest of us is now in charge of that institution and tRump will do his best to destroy that government. Those of us who revere the Constitution abhor the damage we see presciently as not on the horizon but just beyond the door. Money convinces and those with the most money win the argument even if it is detrimental to those who voted for it. Whether The United States will ever recover is truly an open question.😎
I actually thought the Children’s books were a made up thing. Wow! Now that is what I call Cultish behaviour. Anyone else getting Serial Killer vibes from him? Those eyes! 🫣

Looks like Trumpers will be doing a superb job in self sabotaging their own country....

Just too scary to even think of
Deluded and quite crazy, Kash Patel should NEVER be voted for by the US Senate!
With Kash at the helm: FBI RIP!

Superb comments about a sinister appointment.

Thanks for this. It is really hard to tell the Trump players without a program.
