prosecute that monster "senator ". What a disgrace.

No care for what has and will happened to those who serve. Jail Sheehy!

Brian, Thank you so much for sharing your experience. You are both genuine and authentic, and you eloquently shared your values and beliefs in this interview with Prem. You're really honing your values that will platform your campaign and further serve our country. You are sincere in speaking of the necessity for the exercise of empathy. I am a psychologist and always need to remind people that 'sympathy' is a 'feeling,' but 'empathy is a behavior.' Big difference. Again, thank you. You engender hope as you apply your values. What a wonderful discussion! This is a courageous man. Of course, the wars he was involved with were unjust. I was fortunate to find out about this early, and I marched in protest and opposed these wars in other ways, and I wish I could have done much more. It means a great deal to hear a VETERAN talk this way. All that "patriotism" that makes people line the streets as veterans march by on days meant to commemorate their service--all of it is to show approval of military actions against innocent people who died, so unnecessarily, in these wars--people overseas whom we'll never meet, including tiny babies, and national treasures destroyed. The hell our veterans were fighting for democracy! This veteran, this former Marine, got it right when he said it was all on behalf of enriching a few people in our country, with the attitude that people in other countries, and most people in our country, are too stupid to understand what our country really stands for. Yes, many in our country do know what our country pretends to stand for, and it is really untold filth. Rah rah rah! That "support the troops" stuff really infuriated me, and still does. We shouldn't have Veterans' Days without Days of Regret for all the harm we've done with all of our fancy, state-of-the-art, ultra-lethal weapons. We owe reparations to all the survivors overseas, and to our veterans who suffered so unnecessarily. "Freedom isn't free." That's right. We mustn't deny it to people in other countries.

I have the feeling that the robotic reaction of others in the room where this man's arm was broken were probably afraid of being hurt themselves in some way; they were probably frightened, not knowing what really was going on, fearing that it could lead to larger violence. But they should have turned and witnessed what was happening.

As a little girl, I was in Syria and Lebanon with my family for a total of about a year and a half. I met human beings. No fancy rhetoric needed.

I love my country. I love its many traditions, and the many different people who live here. But pride has to take the form of demanding liberty and justice for all who live far away from here. That's what our country should stand for.

By the way, "America" really represents all the countries of North, South and Central America--all the Americas. We are the United States OF America. We aren't America as such. We just occupy a part of it.

I see some of that same so-called logic from rude US tourists who go to other countries and just assume and project they are some kind of celebrity in major tourist areas when thoughtful tourists should try to fit in and appreciate another country for the differences and learning experiences provided to those who are willing to listen.

Free Palestine and free the United States.

Listening to this interview I feel struck by a realization that Palestine's and the United States' futures could be tied. It feels like freeing either one will free the other.

Thank you Zeteo and US veteran Brian McGinnis for educating instead of propogandizing.

Thank you for your courageous, insightful and heart-felt words in this interview. If the senators really respected veterans this whole interview would have taken place in the senate...Thanks to Zeteo it is at least on the record here for all to listen to and learn from.

So happy to hear him calling out the bullshit empty comment of “Thank you for your service” as like he said it is as long as you agree with the thanker’s right wing beliefs.

He needs to keep speaking out!!

I appreciate your thoughts and words about that failure of the Democratic Party’s failure to pursue a just commonsense policy inPalestine and always give Israel’s Zionist leaders support that We The People in USA don’t get (healthcare, education, affordable housing, etc.) due to their being beholden to AIPAC and the billionaires! The unconditional support for Israel’s apartheid, genocidal policies in Palestinian occupied territory of both Republicsns and Democrats and The Legacy Media is a betrayal of democratic principles of human rights, equality of all people, and the right to self determination Bs

…and the right to self deteemination—this is a BETRAYAL by the Dem Party to the principles they should be holding to—i respect your running as a Green Party Candidate and also the Democratic Socialist Party leaders we have—all that do NOT take AIPAC donations—i lost my faith in and appreciateion of Biden when he pandered to Netanyahu after Oct 7, saying he was a better Zionist than Netanyahu, playing right into the hands of a criminal state to enable and support the total destruction and genocide in Gaza and West Bank that followed. Good luck on your campaign and thank you for standing up and speaking out! And !est Wishes to you and your loved ones—i’m sure they are very proud of the kind of person you are!!!

Plain common sense and human decency and acting on that, standing up is what makes a hero.
