One of Diana’s points that impressed me is that the all of the focus is on de-radicalizing Palestinians, but it’s actually Israelis who need to be de-radicalized. Another is how European governments are applauding the Trump/Netanyahu plan so they can avoid doing anything. So depressing. It seems that the genocide will slow down just so that billionaires can take over and make profits in real estate. The Palestinian people will continue to be oppressed.

Yes. You have a alleged genocidal army committing war crimes. This army has citizens from multiple countries. If maria ann left x country to participate in a genocide and goes back to x country it raises so many questions. She could end up being the news chief of xyz tv company or fund raise for toxic racist genocidal mep. The eu is quite prepared to sit on or break it's own laws to kneel before the usa or keep certain corporate businesses happy. Larry Ellison seems to have invested a lot of money in the Tony blair think tank. Ellison is very interested in ai and now the blair institute seems to be promoting ai narrative. Apparently larry Ellison vetted marco rubio back in 2016, to see if Rubio was pro israel enough. Zeteo should interview Peter Geoghegan based in London, who co writes democracy for sale, and wrote 1 article for the woke new statesman on larry Ellison and the blair project aka Tony Blair think tank institute.

Blair's a war criminal. Did the Israeli war criminals say "do come". Blair's despicable and a war monger.

While you blame Blair for Israel’s genocide in Gaza , include the United States, whose military industrial complex is selling arms to Israel and is therefore profiting from its complicity. (I speak from California, where the family of a friend of mine was incarcerated during World War Two because they were of Japanese descent.)

I maintain all our former comments: Why are two presidents of OTHER COUNTRIES talking about Palestine's future??!!?? And why are our countries' presidents, chancellors, kings not doing anything against it...?

It is dictated by History. It is the way things are done. The four year old bully on the playground rules. Until a bigger bully beats him (most of the time bullies are he's) and takes over. Same on the playground that is called society, world theatre. But never has a crime, and we are probably talking about the crime of the century, been so visible. Yet our governments stay silent. There will be some kind of reckoning. That also is baked into History. Mighty, invincible empires have all crumbled. Mostly from forces within.

Ms. Buttu, Mr. Thakker, Thank you for this. I prefer the pain and discomfort of knowing what's going on to the bliss of ignorance. Better this broken heart than no heart at all.

Please please please don't use the term 'ethnic cleansing'! Nothing has been cleansed or cleaned by the removal of Palestinians. It makes far more sense to say 'ethnic clearing' or 'ethnic removal.'

There is another word for the total destruction of society, and that is Genocide. Palestinians have roots in the land that go back before David, before Solomon, before Moses, before Joshua's attack and conquest of what became Judea and Israel. To erase those roots, that history, is genocide.

Right? "ethnic cleansing" sounds like something you get at a European spa!

This is not a peace plan. It's like the Sykes Picot scribbling on a map to break up the Ottoman Empire. It is history repeating. This Dictat basically blames everything on the Palestinian while protecting the Israeli government. So just looking back at recent history, the Munich Agreement, the terms of the Versailles Treaty on Germany neither ended well. But those in power act like gangsters protecting their turf. It is going to take courage and actually doing things like sanctions, boycotts and divestment etc world wide to have a chance to change this.Otherwise keep oppressing, eventually the oppressed will resist and then back to extreme violence again. This is all so wrong, but foreseeable but preventable. If everyone could live in peace dignity and freedom. But that might just mean some in power may have to give up something.... sorry for rambling but my anger and sadness can be overwhelming.

Any peace deal must be led by nations and individuals who do not have an axe to grind on the Palestinian problem. Neither Trump nor Netanyahu qualify. Far from it. The same can be said for Tony Blair. We need some genuine statesmen or stateswomen who care about human rights to lead the peace process. Otherwise, it will be nothing but a dangerous sham that will never lead to peace! The process should begin with the occupation of Gaza by an international peace-keeping force. If Israel balks at that, it should be thrown out of the UN.

The plan is nothing more than what's going on in the West Bank. Unable to conquer Gaza by ethnic cleansing or genocide, the "blueprint" that works is settlements, Jewish only infrastructure and foreign businesses taking Palestinian lands.

The sheer ignorance of those who think that they , like deranged violent parents, should tell Palestinians how to live like dogs under permanent repression.

Including the acceptance of the large scale muder of their children

By the mad dogs of Israel.

Excellent discussion thank you Diana and Prem. You've picked up nuances and added historical context that are easily missed by inexpert observers, no matter how much we care and search for answers to this disgusting situation. Palestinians have suffered 80 years of oppression and now genocide, perpetrated by a society that has wielded their own genocide in Europe as a 'human shield' for so long that it has made them deeply sick. The humanity and humility I've seen in Palestinians gives me great hope for 'never again'. They will need a LOT of time and support to heal, but they do NOT need more colonial meddling!

Israel must be shunned by the rest of civilization.

The statistics about the support within Israel for this unforgivable action tells me all I need to hear,

The US support is reprehensible.

I'm ashamed.
