Thank-you, Prem. "Socialist Mayor Charms Fascist President" ... so that's what an honest, accurate headline looks like! Zohran is definitely "doin' it right on the wrong side of town". Hats off to this man. Are you paying attention Dimocrats?

What worries me-and others is that the establishment Democrats will get their voters all spun up simply on defeating Trump-and when it does, they will have nothing of substance after that so what was the point of the establishment Democrat party if they want to be "do nothing Democrats" for the sake of retaining conservative independent voters?

Mayor Mamdani is already a scholar today.

The ongoing bromance between Zohran Mamdani and the sociopathic fascist in the White House is starting to wear thin. I realize that the mayor was on a righteous mission to increase housing in NYC and to lobby for the release of yet another detained CU student as well as 4 others still illegally detained. I get it. I realize that sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get where you need to go.

However, having to stroke the fragile ego of the toddler-man with the artificial front page headline is a bit like having to kiss the head of a cobra to get what you want. Sooner or later, the mayor may get bitten by the venomous snake. I'm trying to figure out which one of the 2 is being played like a violin. I guess time will tell.

This whole affair is eerily reminiscent of scenes in Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece The Godfather where supplicants must beg Don Corleone for favors by offering money or loyalty in exchange for his influence. We have witnessed this scene play out time and time again by foreign leaders, Apple's Tim Cook (a plague on his house) and other oligarchs and countless politicians who have sold their souls to the devil (I'm looking at you Rubio, Graham, JD Vance to name 3). It's called begging for favors from The Don. It's called a cult of personality. It's called extortion, bending the knee and self-debasement.

Mamdani didn't create the situation but will do what he needs to do without selling his soul to accomplish his goal which is relevant to his city! Sometimes I do believe that the end justifies the means! And in this case I find it very apropos!

I disagree, Mamdani will accomplish nothing heading in guns blazing. If getting things done for NYC means stroking a toddlers ego, so be it. I think we all know what Zohran thinks of Trump.

I disagree with this take. I think it is pretty clear that Mamdani holds the position of power here. He is infinitely more popular than Trump, and so Trump is willing to do a lot to please him because Trump is all but begging to be as popular as Zohran. It certainly doesn't hurt the situation that Zohran is very likeable, especially in a one-to-one conversation, which I briefly witnessed at the 2023 DSA National Convention. He's just a good, genuine guy. Probably a bit of fresh air for Trump, who literally wades through, exists with, and is a part of the most inauthentic, disgusting humans alive.

It seems like Trump has a thing for younger, lightly toasty brown men with thick dark hair, especially Middle Eastern looking or similar. He gets giddy around them. We also saw it with MBS and Al-Sharaa.

So where does all the money go that FIFA is "investing"? Into the BOP, aka into the pockets of Trump grifters?

If Congress has the power of the purse, why are they not grabbing the purse of BOP to investigate where the money is going?

So do I !...the only thing I could ever even conceive of agreeing with Trump on! And I even felt queasy even saying that! But I do love Zohran Mamdani! I'm hearing that song in my head...What a man...šŸŽµ
