The price tag from Trump’s war on Iran is enough to reconstruct Gaza, provide healthcare to millions in the US, or end homelessness here at home for years.
Trump’s a malignant narcissist and convicted sexual abuser operating textbook authoritarian confusion—Stalin and Mussolini playbook. He’s a disease that cancer wouldn’t even get its hands dirty with. Flood the zone with contradictory narratives so no single story can be challenged, no accountability can stick.
The constant lying isn’t incompetence, it’s operational doctrine. When the stated reason for war changes daily (unconditional surrender → regime change → nuclear sites → actually we won → need to keep fighting), you can’t pin down which claim failed. Creates chaos that prevents coherent opposition while demonstrating unconstrained power: “I can say anything, change it tomorrow, and you can’t stop me.”
The inconsistency IS the point. Authority that doesn’t need to justify itself, just perform dominance.
Thank you for the article. I know that Trump’s War is costing the U.S. taxpayers billions each day while right wing media collects a check and sits on their Fannie’s. Let’s see if drafting them would help. Accept , my war when I was growing up the poll numbers were higher than ever during Vietnam. My doctors told me I took the place of a medic. Yes Linda you have temporal lobe epilepsy, and definitely pins in to your neck, and Harrington rods in your spine., and a broken left leg. My memory of five years is gone. I took the place of a medic during the Beriut bombing they have told me. I still can’t remember. The memory is gone forever not on purpose, but I have moved on . I appreciate the interview with the Former Marine Corps enlisted who got his hand broken while the Senator broke his hand. Well I only hope when government officials act like that , consequences, happen to the party who did this awful thing. My beloved Mother who raised me had a melt down and my father was strong to help her out the love he had, for her. They had a marriage of 60 years. The cost is much for me when I saw those soldiers being brought home in caskets . We all are witness of those moments in our time and history. Now I surgery on my thoracic spine. I am hopeful this too shall pass! Please subscribe to ZETEO.
Thank you for this insightful look into the costs of this unnecessary war started because of and by blood thirsty leaders all the while on the behalf of a genocidal country.
The US Government will never be so Altruistic with the budget. Money could be used in such a way, as it is in many other countries. But Corp money will buy politicians to keep that from happening. Progressives in Congress!
The Americans need to really wake up. This war will not only destroy Iran but also USA. The main victors from all this will be the zionist genocidal maniacs
The old saying where you can see the true value of a man by what he can do for those who can offer him nothing in return is quite relevant here.
Imagine having the power to be a hero, a savior or a kind leader and saving and improving lives, especially knowing yours is on the brink of extinction and choosing instead to take down as many additional lives as you could and destroy many more in the process, and you choose the latter.
It's a shame there isn't some sort of litmus test all politicians would be subjected to which instantly weeds out the maleficent ones?
Although, many had a glimpse of his past performance and lack of success as a businessman and human being, and still went ahead with the idea that they could overlook all that if their own personal lives and fears could improve.
Except they didn't improve and yet here we still are.
We all are outraged (almost all) … by now the list of illegal action of the admission is long, atrocious, terrifying. I would love to hear what can be done about that besides the outrage and the litany. Cory Booker was screaming yesterday. I am with him, but it seems that we only are tiring out vocal cords to the deaf ears.
I am informed to my best ability … I listen to historians, constitutional lawyers (I mostly ignore the politicians).
Zeteo, my beloved source of information - can you organize the “town hall” that focuses on “citizens actions” … what are our options outside of the obvious box?
No, sorry but just no. Since Congress appears unable to govern effectively or spend our money rationally, we will simply need to start regulating their spending, just as we would when teaching our children about bank accounts or credit cards. So no, not a penny more.
If they need 50 billion they can take it out of obligations - 882.81 billion has been paid out so far, so they have plenty left. No they cannot take away from pay/healthcare etc so they will need to sit down and figure this out. Cancel contracts now. Stop funding Israel now. Everyone can feel free to sue us, whatever.
Hegseth's DOD obligated 93.4 billion last September in grants and contracts (18 percent higher than the prior September) - external vendors and contracts - not payroll. This will ensure he will not have this problem again come this September. If they need to replace equipment, munitions, and supplies, they can take those costs from other obligations and cancel contracts; if necessary I am sure they can sell some things. No, they are not allowed to borrow from social security or any other portion of the budget - this is not a piggybank.
Given the amount of money we will save not supporting Israel, and from military bases we will no longer need to fund once gulf countries kick us out, we must also inform Congress that DOD funding for 2027 must be cut 10 percent from that 1.43 trillion, not adjusted for inflation. I am uninterested in their excuses or lies. Apparently the Ukrainians and Iranians can get a good amount accomplished with 50k to our millions, so if necessary fire Hegseth and put one of them in charge.
Enough already. Since there appear to be no grownups in the room, we must make these decisions for them.
In a wonderful and poignant article over at Democracy Docket(https://bit.ly/3PkS3rr) Marc Elias puts the CNPP(Christian Nationalist Pedo Party) cabinet clown show in ritualistic humiliation by the Der Fuhrer Cheeto
Using Alexander Solzhenitzen’s novel in understanding autocratic behavior Elias describes Cheeto’s attitude about shoes saying “you can really tell a lot about a man by his shoe size” This perfectly sums up Cheeto’s demented perverted sick malignant narcissistic mind
And the whole world is paying for it in spades with the looney tunes in office with his “have a feeling in my bones” as to when to end the war Meanwhile the global economy suffers Sir what power you have, Sir!! WE the People have the CNPP to thank for this Vote these clowns out of office this November

If only the man had a brain!
Sadly none of the enumerated possible advances are of any importance to the Mango Mussolini of Mar-a-Loco.
