Booming economy for whom? Certainly not the working class.

Judging from the previous comments, I'm happy to see I'm not the only one questioning the "booming economy"! The economy is not booming for folks forced into bankruptcy due to medical debt, young people can't afford to buy homes, workers are unionizing as a response to stagnant wages that don't keep up with cost-of-living. The government continues funding genocide but hurricane victims get no assistance from FEMA. The list is long. Nah. This is Biden's theater. The economy is booming for the ultra-rich. The working class is not getting any relief.

Trump has packed his administration with BILLIONAIRES. I wonder why? Can you say the biggest Grifter and his Grifter family, America has ever seen. Can you say Greed. Can you say Gilded Age. Can you say the Financial Rape of America and the world. Can you say tax cuts for the 1% and cake for all the rest. Can you say the destruction of planet earth. What could possibly go wrong with the most selfish person and his selfish family and his equally uncaring (they never mention how they are going to truly serve the people) cast of goons and thugs in the world in charge. Like you say - keep the receipts - Americans are going to need to keep track of what they are going to lose and who is going to steal from them..........

Booming? Sure certain metrics of the economy are doing great, but anecdotally and in certain industries it’s a mess. Specifically the biotech sector, it’s not great. Not to say it’s going mg to get any better with Kennedy at the helm of HHS, but there are people who are hurting out there.

Someone has been living under a rock. Unless booming means expending all of your tax payers money to fund wars and feed the industrial military complex, where the globalist vultures make millions over the blood shed and subjugation of human beings.

It's not surprising that the economy is always booming for the Billionaire Class, who make money in good times and bad, a sign of how rigged the game has become. Trump's biggest obstacle is himself, his inflated ego. He promised tough action on a host of imaginary issues, and he might feel bound to deliver some good theater if nothing else. But he's incompetent and doesn't listen to experts, so he's going to cause damage and pain.

Inflation may be dropping, but price gouging is riding high. Nobody talks about that.

John, was your question about the so-called “booming economy” rhetorical? It seems we are to assume that the economy is booming. If it is, it’s benefitting the few, like the CEOs in the Orwellian “healthcare” industry, not the many—those denied healthcare by Medicare DisAdvantage, the ones who can’t afford the co-pays of original Medicare, the homeless, etc.

You seemed to imply that DJT would not be pursuing a third term; because legal constraints. Were you serious? The adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” may apply. I did not find your piece useful, considering the circumstances. Some consider the 1/20/25, as representing an existential threat. It seems to suggest that Biden was successful. Perhaps he succeeded in the genocide he enabled and financed with our taxes; the climate crisis is worse while natural carbon sinks are destroyed for Orwellian solar and wind “farms” far from where needed; on rooftops and parking lots. Perhaps you were trying to assuage those concerned about the apparent successful coup that Biden intends to support by assuring there will be a smooth transition. A more useful usage of Zeteo’s cyberspace might have been to advocate that Biden promptly resign or be impeached after pardoning many needing or deserving and allowing Harris to be the president—allowing her to pardon him, including for the despicable crime of complicity in genocide. She may have the courage to do the right thing; what Biden and Merrick Garland appear lacking and needed in order to deal with the existential crises we face and too many deny/ignore. We don’t have the time to BS one another.

I disagree with this analysis. Booming economy for who? Healthcare is in a state of impending collapse, young professionals graduating from college can’t afford rent let alone think of ever buying a home of their own. Have you noticed the growing population of homeless people? Have you noticed police cars outside big box stores? Have you noticed that laundry detergent is locked in a cage, you have to ask a sales person to open to buy LAUNDRY DETERGENT. You sir, are living in a bubble that is not widely shared. Sorry to inform you. Neo-liberalism is a bipartisan plan. Just like Neo-conservatism.

As with most things Trump like healthcare, he will make a very visible and cruel show of mass deportation and then not follow through. Tariffs will be similar but he will probably shake down some bribes in the process. At some point in the next 6 months he will take credit for the booming economy…

Better question: …Inheriting a booming economy. How do we stop him from wrecking it?

He’s never been successful in anything he touches, so we know he’ll wreck it. Felon Orange is siphoning our treasury to him and the parasites around him, mostly family members.
