Why are American fixated on the idea that there’s only two choices?

Because we're intelligent and informed. If you're not an American and don't understand the American political system then you have no business generalizing about and criticizing Americans.

P.S. Cry harder. I did see your ridiculous response, which doesn't have the audience you imagine it does. I said *if* you're not American, which was prompted by your absurd sweeping generalization about American fixation, which makes no logical sense if you are an American, but then people blathering about 3rd parties aren't logical. The other part was about not understanding the American political system, which you clearly don't.

I have no desire to engage in discussion with people who are so willfully ignorant and are arguing in such evident bad faith. I've been there too many times and nothing is gained by it.

"Trump is a rabid racist, misogynistic moron."

And yet you repeat his false claims about Biden. You say he's a liar and yet you tell such a blatant lie as "He is also a dementia patient". You are fundamentally dishonest and that's why I blocked you.

"But for some reason people insist that those two are their only choices when in fact other parties do exist."

Of course they exist; duh. But any honest person who understands the American political system knows that their Presidential candidates cannot win--so your argument is an unintelligent strawman.

"They believe this narrative because that’s what they’re told to believe."

See, this is the same bad faith *ad hominem* that you started with. No, they believe that only Biden or Trump will be President because they aren't stupid, ignorant, and dishonest.

"Secondly, I am certain that Marc Lamont Hill is way more intelligent and informed than 99.9% of the American public. Ask him who he’s voting for. (He is just one example)"

This is pathetic cherry picking and argument from authority. But guess what? After foolishly voting for the Green Party all his life, he voted for Biden in 2020, recognizing the threat of Trump. Trump in 2024 would be vastly worse, so if he's gone back to the Greens then he's just gone back to foolishness ... but given how little you know, I wouldn't bank on who he is or isn't voting for on your say so.

"George Galloway’s landslide victory against the mainstream labour versus conservative illustrates that it can indeed be done."

Again, you don't understand the *American* political system, which is vastly different.

P.S. In re this dishonest garbage about being willing to engage, google "sealioning", e.g., https://www.forbes.com/sites/marshallshepherd/2019/03/07/sealioning-is-a-common-trolling-tactic-on-social-media-what-is-it/?sh=26fb100b7a41

I have no obligation to engage in any way with anyone, and certainly not with someone who is demonstrably incapable of honesty or good faith.

I find it weird that you blocked me- is it that hard to engage intelligently on a topic that you cannot tolerate someone having a different opinion to yours? Unlike you, I did not resort to calling anyone who disagrees with me names or trump myself up as “intelligent” with zero evidence.

But in any case, you won’t see this message, but I’ll post it for the benefit of people who CAN in fact view the thread because they don’t block out things that may challenge their world view/interests/ intellect:

Firstly, my entire immediate family is American and I have a very good understanding of the American political system. Secondly, I am certain that Marc Lamont Hill is way more intelligent and informed than 99.9% of the American public. Ask him who he’s voting for. (He is just one example)

Also, American politics informs world politics so the dynamics thereof is actually everybody’s business.

Biden is an immoral criminal and needs to be put behind bars at The Hague-he is unapologetically Zionist and will continue to fund the bombing and starvation of millions. He is also a dementia patient and a liar who likes to insist his son died in Iraq when in fact he died in the USA (of brain cancer) years after he was briefly in Iraq.

Trump is a rabid racist, misogynistic moron.

But for some reason people insist that those two are their only choices when in fact other parties do exist. They believe this narrative because that’s what they’re told to believe. For tangible change to happen, something actually has to change.

George Galloway’s landslide victory against the mainstream labour versus conservative illustrates that it can indeed be done.
