My problem is that while you take a deep dive on Charlie Kirk citing his background and past comments. It would be enlightening if you could a thorough background check on the perpetrator.

Lack of this information leaves it to most outlets claiming this was caused by 'the left'.

Thanks, as always. This past week was more disturbing than most. I was not surprised to learn that the guy who killed Kirk was a right wing extremist. I now know who Nick Fuentes is, and what a "groyper" is, but learning this has only increased my level of angst!

Okay, Zeteo, it's come to this for you, and me, and another platform I support, called Status.

If you want my continued support, enough with the "assassination" talk. That's for presidents and popes, not snarky racist shit-talkers.

PROVE ME WRONG.

Wow, a big if not scary week. From Israel going even more rogue, who will they attack nex?, to a murder, possibly politically motivated but I do not know yet, but still some very scary and strong and oddly very one sided, responses from your leaders. To the continuing attack on freedoms and burocracy by the executive. Some change is needed if you want change, but the language used makes it look like there is a darker motivation around it all. Glad to be not an American right now. Be careful and remember, hate and violence brings only more of the same. Courage is needed if you want that cycle changed. Accurate information, from reliable sources, and a shared humanity is what is needed to bring about a better situation. Good luck.

Yes, Thursday 9/11/25 was indeed a bad news day for women:

-- in the U.S. (from the Common Dreams article “US Court Lets GOP Defunding of Planned Parenthood Take Effect”): “Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) took to social media to warn that up to 200 Planned Parenthood clinics could close thanks to the loss of Medicaid funding, which she said would have devastating consequences for women’s healthcare. ‘How many people will be denied cancer screenings, birth control, and STI testing?’ she asked. ‘Millions. It’s horrific.’”

-- and around the world (from the New York Times article “$10 Million in Contraceptives Have Been Destroyed on Orders From Trump Officials”): “Millions of dollars’ worth of birth control pills and other contraceptives destined for people in low-income countries have been destroyed at the direction of the Trump administration… a spokeswoman for USAID… said in a statement to The Times that the contraceptives had been destroyed, and falsely suggested that they induced abortion. ‘President Trump is committed to protecting the lives of unborn children all around the world,’ the statement said. ‘The administration will no longer supply abortifacient birth control under the guise of foreign aid.’”
