What a mess. I still have difficulty grasping how over 77 million of my fellow citizens voted for a man who was a convicted felon, an adjudicated rapist, a person convicted of numerous frauds, serial bankruptcies, indicted for election fraud and mishandling top secret documents, and who sent a mob to attack the capital to incite a coup. What has my country become?

Kevin, the seams have been coming undone in our country for decades! Wake up man! Yes, he is all those things and worse, but the shreds in the fabric of our nation have been unraveling for a very long time! Get active in reshaping what we might become-your will and action are REQUIRED! Come on brother!

I'm curious as to what 'seams have been coming undone in our country for decades' and 'the shreds in the fabric of our nation have been unraveling'. I get so tired of hearing that the 'right' feels unheard, that the government has abandoned them, which is why they gravitated to trump. My response to them is, if you think things were bad before, wait until trump's actions affect your life in a negative way. Personally, I don't know what people have to bitch about. Yes, we need to work harder on equality for all, to make our country more inclusive, but I also think we've come a long way in a relatively short period of time. If Democrats could take the WH and Congress by huge numbers, for two terms, I think we'd all see a better country. The so-called 'conservative', white Christian nationalists may not appreciate it so they can leave as far as I'm concerned, move to Hungary or Russia where they'll feel more at home.

The litany of lies, abuses, grift, criminality of Trump and his enablers go on daily. The immediate victims are at great risk but the rest of us should worry about who is next. I say fight back.

I guess Ramaphosa has seen enough madmen in his life, so he was able to stay calm and sit this one out.

More of His "Liar Liar Pants on Fire" ranting and unraveling right in front of us during this round of what I call "The Revenge Tour"! His behavior with President Ramaphosa is bottomlessly indecent and unfitting for the role he represents; and hate to say it, he represents US. Repulsed, disgusted again. The Bit coin dinners-corrupt AF. I find myself wishing that the NYT would do at least a one day BLACK-OUT of his nonsense (and a break from their usage of minimizing language such as 'boundary problem' when reporting on the graft e.g. plane from Qatar would be a nice break! Maybe they could find their spines!)

I had to stop my review of the week halfway thru Tuesday. I'm near tears as I read about the dissolution of our Republic. I do what I can in the form of writing postcards because I am 73 and walk with a cane. The fear is real. I fight it everyday. We sold a condo so that we could rent, making it easier to get out of here. I can't believe I'm even thinking that.

I turn 70 in November. I love my home, and it would break my heart to leave it, but I'm thinking the same way, renting would be easier to move from. But then I think, where am I going to go? Another country? I can't afford to do that, plus I live on my Social Security so it would have to be a country where I could still collect my checks. And, then, there's Medicare, what about that? I feel so trapped.

Reading all that at once is so much better than all the "Breaking news- Trump [fill in the blank]" notifications pinging on my phone. Keep up the good work!

Israel and all their genocide helpers need to face accountability before the global community. No forgetting and no forgiveness only punishment is the adequate answer for these crimes.

I concur with both comments although I believe ALL Americans are at great risk. As a neighbor I am saying to you “your home is burning down”. Time to call 911. Firstly I would have a look at what the Talking Heads are saying. Truth is your first victim with the talking heads. When a personality like VELSHI, a fellow Canadian, is paid 1 - 2 Million$ to tell you what to believe and does not have the option of providing new to the population it is time to look to networks outside of your borders for solutions and news. Have you forgotten how DEMOCRACY works. As a worldwide political and news junkie AMERICAS population is being MARKETED by VELSHI and others to accept an authoritarian personality. A sad Canadian neighbor who wishes all the best and hope you find your way. Becoming the 51st state is not even an option for us.

Thank you Medhi and the team that puts this all together. I have posted every one of these on my FB page for all to read. I am sick over this; it almost seems surreal that trump is in office. Our only hope is a legitimate election in '26 so we can take back the House and Senate, in big enough numbers, to be able to impeach the scum, convict him, and remove him from the WH. JD Vance may be eviler, but I think we could (maybe) ride out the last two years. Other than that, I'm not sure what else we can do. I am writing the truth on the FB pages of members of Congress, trump's cabinet, and administration, making sure the facts get out there. It may be a futile process, but it makes me feel better to get out my frustrations and anger. I'm hoping that I reach someone
