Another though occurred to me- was it ever revealed to those that reacted as expected to the deep fakes that they were deep fakes and what was the reaction? Solutions would be good too. Ones that don't have to wait for regulation.
@Team Zeteo Thanks for reading comments! What came to mind - Google Deep Mind’s AI Ethics team is doing interesting stuff at the outer technology boundaries, but linked to practical real world consequences (like their tech development Alpha Fold projects). Linking AI across politics, societal threats, and technology would be interesting! Also, a look at specific tools being developed for backend as well as user end to identify fakes and what to do.
Very important documentary. That you got the mayor for London to speak is brilliant (he's real, right?). It assumes a fair bit of knowledge which is fine if it's a trailer but I'm a Londoner, and had no idea about any of those stories except that there were far right counter marches on Remembrance day. A fair few videos of people who attended both the Remembrance event and the Palestine march exist. Important to illustrate they're not opposing. Hoping the actual doc does offers a full overview and doesn't assume knowledge. I had no idea about the Southport riots or what the Al- guy is supposed to have done. It was also a bit too fast for me- couldn't read everything on the screen fast enough.
The Taylor Swift and Tim Walz cuts at the end are too fast to absorb because of the combination of video and newspaper headlines. Proving once again that video is more powerful (memorable) than printed word.
Has anyone ever read the book “if mayors ruled the world” by Benjamin barber.? “There is no liberal or conservative way to fix a pothole.” Fiorello LaGuardia
Scary Stuff , Something has to be done to Stop AI from Fake News Reporting ,, It can Kill People , It can Destroy Communities , It is Big Tech Responsibility to be Able to Stop All These Evil
The content of this video is very disturbing. Even more disturbing is the likelihood that AI- generated fake videos are likely to become more frequent and more convincing. Politics in the US are already teetering on a knife edge that leads toward violence. Are there any workable solutions to be had?
Scary. Dangerous. Potentially evil. Highlights how man’s thirst for power, and capitalism, can be dangerous. I mean, even part of congress is bought, they’re not representing the people anymore. Highlighting also that man can be weak and cowardly. Susceptible to manipulation and shortsightedness.
Keep it coming. It's important to know what can be done and how easy it is to do. The more you know the more you can guard against it. For kids I think parents need to implement a type of 2 factor authentication password phrase/response that actually identifies it's really them and really their parents. Sad, but nessessary.
This is not new. State actors have this technology for a long time. I can argue it was used by state actors in Arab spring in Egypt and Gesi park protests in Istanbul to create chaos and control the outcome in favor of what ever was targeted.
What is new is private companies has power to exploit this technology and make money without any risk and consequences.
I believe laws in place only need is punishments and descriptions has to rewrite. So you create this to harm other people or institutions, you must think about is it worth to 25 years in prison? (this also bring a lots of income to police and judiciary systems. another good thing AI helps to economy)
They catch 16 years old hackers and ask 30–40 years prison terms why cant done with AI and Asshole Musk. (Oh, I forgot about it, he was the sweepstakes 1 mil every day for Trump)
Please keep making top quality videos like this!
Well backed with facts and high quality videography. We need to combat disinformation with the truth

Important -and terrifying. Needs follow-up segment on what is being done to address this onslaught of dangerous misinformation.

This is byond terrifying.
This was a brilliant, concise documentary of the harms we've seen from AI just this year. A serious warning of what's to come.

Great content, appreciate the hard work behind the scenes
No doubt the Zionists were behind this

This is particularly evident in the US. Ironically where capitalism is king.

What we have here is a combination of Frankenstein, the scorcerer’s apprentice and Pandora’s box.
