Stephen A. Smith is an Uncle Ruckus/Uncle Tom caricature. He's a moron more content with being used as a MAGA grifter than using his money for good. Only a clown would listen to anything he has to say.

But when it has been someone like LeBron James making a political comment, the Fox response would have (and has been) "shut up and dribble."

I get that MAGA fools on the right consider that the one NBA jersey their Dad bought them back in high school entitles them to absolute control over every NBA athlete, 24/7/365 for eternity.

But aren't these the same morons voting for Trump BECAUSE "he has so many valuable skills, even outside politics!" (He doesn't.)

True, he's a world-class pussy-grabber who wants to have sex with his own daughter and can't read beyond a third-grade level...but even adding "serial casino bankrupter", his "skill list" rings a bit hollow.

But apparently not for MAGA. NOTHING rings too hollow for Trump and MAGA.

Clarence Thomas will hold on to his Supreme Court position until the day he dies. He knows that his favor is courted because of his position and without it, that ladder he so quickly kicked behind him would be removed for him as well under a republican regime.

Don't trust the republicans and allow them to court minorities. Their racism, xenophobia, and misogyny are the main reasons they tolerate losing their own healthcare, paying more at the pump and higher prices for goods, etc., because Trump's "strongman/enforcer" position allows them to keep their place on the "hierarchy". They will vote against their own interests if it means the groups they fear outnumbering or advancing them stay far behind.

Steven A is an idiot who knows nothing about anything. He is paid millions to talk sport and even then he does not know his shit and 90% of his analysis/ predictions are wrong.

The Democratic Party has work to do, but the Republican Party has made it very clear since Trump 2.0,that they despise Black folk and will stretch the limits of the law to deny them agency.

One of the GOP's worst miscalculations involves Black voters, and it says SO much about GOP/MAGA.

In 2020, after the murder of George Floyd, BLM protests were announced to raise focus on the very serious issue of violence against Black Americans at the hands of American law enforcement. One can only presume that the GOP/MAGA, unable to think in concepts beyond "transactional", "violent" and "racist", assumed the BLM protests would be comparable to the destructive Watts riots, or the response to the Rodney King beatings. As such, they seemed self-servingly content to allow the protests to continue, the "happy" result (for MAGA/GOP) presumed to be the destruction of every Black neighborhood in America. It must have been a shock to the haters to discover that basically the ONLY BLM violence was inflicted by law enforcement and white instigators smashing storefronts, and America was not fooled. (More in the line of "much more convinced of the scope of LEO violence against Black citizens", be my guess....)

Apparently, MAGA/GOP decided never to let that happen again. So when NO KINGS came around, every GOP "boiler room" in America was sending out messages of "It's just too dangerous on the streets of America for Black folks!" (HINT: Any message warning Black Americans of "possible violence" came from somebody white. Black folks haven't needed to be told that for >400 years (so far....))

Yes, many Black Americans stayed home from NO KINGS. But oddly enough, though this fact was repeated in countless news stories about NO KINGS, we heard nothing from The Killer Wail himself. Nothing like, "THE BLACKS love me, and stayed home from NO KINGS in honor of their love for me!" (Would anyone have really been surprised?) But not a word.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Trump's "true believer" problem extends far beyond Iranian religious zealots, and even years before. That Trump hates Black folks is clear, especially Black women voters. (But his only attack seems to be "low IQ", which means little, and less each time it's used.) I'd guess that Trump has no idea how to fight against parental love and sacrifice, and knows it. I suspect his silence in respect to the NO KINGS racial mix is out of fear for the ONLY American demographic Trump truly fears: Black parents who vote.

But all the POWER on Earth won't matter, unless people SEIZE their power!

Thank you all for your AMAZING attention span!

I appreciate this excellent chronology of the political history of Black Americans. I don't pay much attention to Stephen A. Smith's advice, but he would surely benefit from some education. I suspect he would prefer to continue to spew shallow, ill-conceived thoughts.

Stephen A. Smith’s narcissistic self-importance is laughable. He should stay in his lane of sports bloviator for hire! Venturing out into the real world reveals his true essence - a Trumpian Moron with a larger vocabulary❗️

Thank you for an excellent history lesson. Trump is competing with Hayes for the worst president in American history. And that is from a long list of presidents that have compromised their humanity for political power.

I have NEVER been able to watch/listen to Stephen A. Smith as he is about the most obnoxious sportscaster/commentator ever and that even outdoes Dick Vitale who I've always thought to be extremely obnoxious !!!!

Thank you for this informative article. So often, Black Americans are portrayed as passive and in need of others help to get ahead. Yet another concept of systemic racism. They know what they need and how to get it. White Americans simply need to stop being an impediment.

Smith considers himself to be part of a club that seeks to exploit him further and will not have him as a member.
