Is that how low we have become, push for ceasefire and Arms embargo because it helps us in election!

Not confronting this genocidal regime would be akin to not confronting Hitler out of fear of destabilizing Europe

Definitely yes.

That low, and lower.

They don't care. They are willing to risk every American life and the oval office for Israel.

That’s what AIPAC pays for! If they loose, one can hope the lesson will be clear.

I'm just wondering what, if anything, will happen to the U.S. for their awful complicity in aiding Israel with the genocide, totally ignoring what the world is saying. I see that Israel and the U.S. are believing their own propaganda now, that the U.S. is the best country in the world, and Israel is the most moral. Give me a break!

The election is hers to lose and could be won so easily by telling the voting public you are for a permanent ceasefire and stopping the sale of weapons to Israel . Bring the hostages home is a hollow cry when those who live in Gaza and the West Bank are still being killed and Palestinians are still being held in Israeli torture prisons.

Israel is like a millstone around our neck. We should stop financing this apartheid state and make them relinquish the Palestinian Territories it now occupies.

I'm one of those voters, if I don't see a change at all I'm voting third party.

So am I. We desperately need a 3rd party choice. I'm voting Green:

To get the vote I’m sure. But what happens after the vote?

Plain simple - I don’t trust so still not voting Dem.

It doesn’t change their pro-zio / Israel stance.

Trump isn't going to pledge that. Our best bet is to get Kamala elected and keep the pressure on.

There is no leverage after the election. I’m Arab American and I will not vote for Harris unless there is an arms embargo on Israel.

This is beyond reprehensible. Don’t expect our vote if you continue to give more money and arms to Israel instead of making strides to implement a ceasefire.

The likelihood of a ceasefire is beyond slim, and certainly not happening before election. I think it's fair to say we all appreciate that Netanyahu will not allow that. The only way it would happen is if there was a truly dramatic change in US policy from Biden, including arms embargo, aid suspension and massive pressure for agreement.

I'm growing weary and angry with the 'pressure for a ceasefire' narrative. Would prefer more honest journalism vs what I see on ABCNNBCBSEtc. - I know, that's crazy talk. Don't mind this story as at least it deepens the conversation and provides information that can as to the pressure on Harris.

Meanwhile, about the ceasefire, unfortunately pigs can't fly, otherwise they'd be so extra awesome.

When beating American students, threatening congressmen for criticising Israel, and sending billions of tax payers' money to a country accused of genocide becomes a norm in the US, we know legislative and executive government individuals in the US are putting the interest of Israel over US.

AIPAC, JDL, ADL or any organization with ties to Israel should be investigated and all citizens of US involved should be prosecuted for treason.

I don’t care about stupid polls, I just want the killing to stop!!

Given what Israelis like Itmar Ben-Gvr are doing to foment a Zionist war in the region, it will be some kind of miracle if a ceasefire is set without force. That is the only thing they will reckon with in Israel now. It is obvious that the U.S. will not do any more than what they are doing, which is making noise about a ceasefire, without anything behind it to force the issue. It looks like it will be up to the Shia coalition to play their hand.

US elected government representation seems less about what the populace wants, thinks and believes and more about keeping AIPAC and other related organizations happy. The US sends billions to Israel and Israel buys US representation of their liking. It nows appears the US is its colony.

Logic and voters dictates one thing, big money another. Who will the Democratic campaign listen to?

I think we know the answer to that question. They've decided to shove it under the rug and hope the disaster doesn't expand to other countries before November.

Harris needs to clarify her position on an arms embargo. If she isn't willing to withhold arms from the murderous Israeli government, then I can't bring myself to vote for her. Joe Biden seems to care more about Israel than he does about US democracy. I hope that's not true of Harris.
