Always encouraging to see opposing views can be articulated respectfully. Kudos to Triggernometry & Mehdi for the endeavour.

The youtube’s comment section however, just proves that some people will refuse to listen & prefer continue living in a bubble.

Another Mehdi beat down! If you want the proof, look no further than the comments, the vast majority of which use Mehdi's religion or the fact that he once worked with Al-Jazeera to attack him rather than engage with his points. Excellent work as always, Mehdi!

“In much the same way Egypt was the last country Britain faced as a superpower, so too do I think Iran will be the last one we face as number one.”

I was able to get an essay from a drone operator at Holloman about the present state of things (of course, more a meditation than actual policy details.)

So many thoughtful arguments in this interview, loved the detailed thought processes.

I have always been amazed at how little context regular americans seem to have when discussing foreign wars. People in the middle east (and in conflict zones more generally) have exponentially longer memories of past conflicts because of how traumatic and deeply woven into their national identity those events have been. They remember those interventions the way americans remember Pearl Harbor or the WTC, with the key difference that it keeps happening over and over again and the wound never heals..

These two are the dumbest wannabe intellectuals online these days. Same smug look as Shapiro. They should be asked because both of them are migrants why did they move to the UK? Why is it that it is good for them but not for others? The Venezuelan guy has the guts to be so against refugees but fails to see his own privilege compared to the obstacles most Venezuelans have to go through to be safe and work for the better of their families.
