So glad to see that you're really up and running.

Excellent. as expected from Mehdi. So glad to have not an alternative view but a real, facts based view on world affairs.

For a guy who keeps saying "let me finish" he doesn't seem to answer the questions asked.

Yeah, he drove me bonkers. He kept wanting to ignore Mehdi.

This is what Israelis do. This is why their narrative prevails in the media.

It's called hasbara, and politicians and operatives are schooled in it. Olmert obviously was.

Noam Chomsky and Ed Herman are good Anglo guides into Hasbara and its great grandparent the Edward Bernays Pay2Play institution of Public Relations. It wasn't even new under the stars back in early 20th Century & pre-Industrial Revolution!!!

Soundcloud may have some of Jane Hunter's revealing and educational audio appearances on what there is of U.S. of Amnesia Community Radio as she was a valued source of Pacifica Radio and most truly progressive and muck raking international journalism.

For this tightly packed corner of the Word of Woes that I refer to as the Muddle East it helps to read and decode journalistic Arabic and Hebrew. Chomsky at least has the Hebrew down and Israeli press, perhaps not the Pay2Play variety shares much of the know-how in that lively Hebrew press. Am getting further along in my Arabic, most of good journalism there, however, remains in the Arabic Diaspora so English is next best based on usefulness to muck rakers and analysts of good faith (also good Arabic Diaspora Press in translation in much of the Germanic language nation-states. English being per the linguists merely one of the Germanic languages).

More power to you Mehdi! We are all so fed up of the double standards, the bigotry, and one-sided comments from officials that only serve as an insult to our intelligence.

Thank you, so glad for this content

Mehdi: "PLEASE ACTUALLY ANSWER THEN!" 😂

Respect. I can't imagine the irritation of dealing with such an evasive bad-faith criminal.

I’m very glad you are up and running and that I have a trusted source for news. Could you comment on Israel’s bombing of the Iranian consulate in Syria? Why did they do it? Since bombing the sovereign territory of Iran is an act of war, why wouldn’t the world expect an Iranian military response? Why didn’t the US condemn the bombing of the consulate? How can the bombing of the consulate be justified as a defense of Israel? How can the US support Israeli aggression and frame it as Israel has a right to defend itself?

For weeks it was an embassy in every news report. Now the Israelis say it was a military base, not a sovereign diplomatic posting that embassies represent. Masterclass in the evolution of propaganda being parroted by all Israeli spokespersons.

Expand full comment

Even if it were a military base, an unprovoked attack on that base is an act of war, (Pearl Harbor?)

Exactly!

Bombing a consulate is a violation of international human rights law.

A great start Mehdi as expected! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️

One thing I will give Israelis is the ability to spout the same narratives over and over again without ever taking any responsibility. The problem is that no one (other than the extremists) are really buying it any more.

Great start- taking on the Axis of Genocide (G7) euphemisms of racism! 99% of Congress is bigoted, we need to organize at the local level against genocide, for the solidarity with the resistance against oppression and occupation. Naledi Pandor, South Africa, and the ICJ are the heroes.

Excellent work Mehdi, you are the voice for humanity, the voice for oppressed, the voice for fairness, a God gifted debater, all the best :). Thoroughly enjoying this interview! Thank you :)

Mehdi thank you! This is the type of journalism I’m interested in listening to and reading. I am extremely sorry that you lost your position on CNN, now let’s make CNN sorry.

I am totally fed up with this one-sided or both siderism on the Israeli response to the Palestinian attack. Im sick of Congress with “absolutely no criticism allowed” of our “so called ally,” Israel, including now. If I criticize Israel I am not a Hamas supporter I am coming to my own conclusion based on paying attention to what’s going on.
