Thank you for this interview Menhi. Well done. This young man said something that echoed what my late pastor once told me. He said, "Arica, sometimes there is only one reason to do something and that is because it is RIGHT!" Amen pastor and amen Tal Mitnick. Keep fighting young brother. In solidarity.
God bless this 18 year old understanding the situation and refusing to serve in the military. I hope he is able to convince more youth to follow his footsteps.
I salute our Israeli Brothers and Sisters who have a Clear understanding of the Truth, and have the Courage to stand by it! Hugs and Prayers to all People of any conviction and nationality, who stand by the truth, and work in their own way to express their outrage to such massacre of their fellow men and women of all ages; as well contribute what they can to help to stop such an annihilation of a people!
Thank you for this interview! I've been feeling hopeless about the situation in Gaza etc. but his voice definitely gave me hope for the future. How can Americans support brave young people like him?
It is always refreshing and inspiring in today’s environment to hear someone like Tal Mitnick speak truth from the heart while backing his words with action. I was reminded of a Viennese CO Franz Jägerstätter who was killed in 1943 for his refusal to say yes to Hitler. In a letter he wrote, he asked the question: why won’t more people say “no?”. In his village, he was the only one with the courage needed to do so. Thank you Tal for speaking out against evil and for peace. May hearts be open and minds receptive to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
Such a thoughtful interview from both gentlemen. Mehdi, your interviewing skills are always appropriate for the situation and the interviewee, and in this example with an 18 year old young man, making very challenging, and strong decisions, it is so very evident. And Tal, your heart is strong - and you are developing even more strength with these right actions. Thank you.
This was a welcome piece, because I have been carrying a heavy burden of hatred for Israel and all Israelis in my heart for the last 10 months. The picture, endlessly presented in the media is that the vast majority of Israelis approve of the genocide. To see and hear a young man from Israel articulate his disapproval for what his country is doing, is a shaft of light piercing the darkness, and a welcome reminder that goodness still exists in the world.
Sadly, most in Iraeli society approve of whats happening in Gaza, but you are correct, seeing him and listening to what he has to say is a very welcome breath of fresh air! Doing what he does and being so vocal about it is very couragous to say the least.
What an amazing young man. MA. I pray Tal’s circle of conscientious objector magnifies and this younger generation brings peace and more hope to our globe. Amen.
What a wonderful person! I saw him months ago on Hasanabi`s stream and it is great seeing him to get the exposure he absolutely deserves. What he did and does takes a lot of courage to say the least, especially in Israel.
Thank you Tal Matnick and Sofia Orr, we here have taken your letter to our state’s Democratic Party chair to ask her to tell President Biden to stop arming this genocide.
You are brave and enlightened and I am encouraged that you are focused on concrete actions to end this war and work for a sustainable peace, which I know must include ending the siege and occupation.
I had the pleasure to hear a very brave Palestinian young 19 year old, Malak AlSweirki, speak to a church group via zoom from Gaza. She who created a page to bring the voice of Palestinian women in Gaza. It’s called Her Voice Gaza. It would be incredible, Mehdi Hasan and Zeteo team if you can also interview her as a brilliant young woman who is also striving for peace and justice from Gaza and has been doing so for a number of years.
Just like the youth of Bangladesh were able to protest to get a dictator out of power, I’m so inspired by our youth to show us a way forward to end this genocide and atrocities. You have just shown the world again it’s not too complicated!

What a brave dude. And what an absolute shame that he is such a minority right now.

The principles and intelligence this young man has should qualify him for prime minister; instead, the people will just vote for more Netanyahus.

Tal Mitnick is a terrific human being, and gives hope for the future with young people like him.

You just need a drop of humanity to see the daily oppression Palestinians have been enduring for 76 years

Thank you Tal Mitnick and all others brave people who stand for truth. He is a very courageous young man.

This young man is so inspiring 🙂 And very eloquent
