Dear Sir I see that you fight for justice and that there is no end of the opposite sadly. So whatever you cover will be of interest to me. As a pensioner my pockets aren't deep but I want to contribute even in my small way as a means of saying thank you for your valuable work. Blessings. Jeff.

Afghanistan’s women and population in general have suffered greatly ever since the Soviet invasion of 1979. Now again after the American withdrawal three years ago, the Taliban are in charge of the country. I believe “ engagement “ rather than isolation of Afghanistan stands a better chance of helping the people of Afghanistan!

Nope. Go beat the war drum somewhere else. This man is asking for further intervention/funneling of money, resources, weapons and arms to lead a campaign of never-ending war and violence. This never works. See Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, and Afghanistan itself. That being said, thanks Mehdi for pushing back on some of what he was saying. I'll continue to support your journalism.

Always enjoy the insightful conversation on Zeteo. One area that needs coverage and discussion is Kashmir. Unspeakable human rights abuses are being carried out by the Indian security forces. The Kashmiri youth are giving big sacrifices but no one is speaking up for their rights . Pl interview the Kashmiri Resistance movement also known as the Hurriyet!

20 years and billions of dollars worth advanced weapons including most modern fighter jets and training of anti Taliban forces collapsed because they don’t represent Afghans. They represented foreign countries, not the interests of Afghanistan.

Leave Afghans alone. They know what works for them. Isolating Afghanistan Taliban government is the cause of economic problems. This has also prevented them from making separate institutions for education. Twenty years and trillions of dollars should at least have made running water and toilets in each household in Afghanistan. Stop the BS!

Mehdi, great interview. Thank you.

Lets Keep US out of global south !!

They’ll work out their problems. American born, raised groups in suits and ties, and on the payroll, don’t represent afghan people nor their national interest.

This activist should go live in Afghanistan and seed home grown change from within without outside interference.

Afghanistan will transform in time for the better.

Thank you. You will keep us aware of the truths and the history that we are not knowledgeable of. So much to learn and you are the professor. Keep it up.

This man in his suit seems to be unaware that Afghanistan needs support to recover economically and once the Taliban are engaged and see what economic benefits they have they Wii come round to engaging women in all aspects of life

One of my great grandfathers fought in the 2nd Afghan war in a highland regiment from Scotland in 1878. Nothing much has changed since then, the fighting and killing and the poor oppressed women. Such a shame when it could have become a vibrant country and a member of the worldwide community. Let's not lose hope, things do change.

Mehdi, thank you for this interview. We appreciate the invaluable information you keep grifting, however, Mr. Nazary with his perfect American English dialect seems to be very well trained by US organizations that want to keep wars going to keep feeding the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.

The words he applied like 'terrorists' 'jihadist' 'Taliban' 'Alquaeda' are not words that are used by sincere Afghani man that wants what is best for Afghanistan and its people.

I hope he realizes (if he cares) that every time the West is involved in Muslim homelands, they cause more harm than good. Afghanistan and Iraq are superb examples of my point.

The only good and true change has to be done by the people of Afghanistan and not the US or political hacks speaking perfect American English living outside Afghanistan.

America! Please leave the Muslim world alone! and worry about your own people and specially you most vulnerable Homeless population.

God bless.

Jeff: Well said; my feelings exactly, as someone barely making it on SS. While we may not be able to donate more than the “Paid Subscription,” we can and should spread Mehdi’s msg and encourage others, excluding trolls, to subscribe. We also can send letters to the editor and to our elected reps supporting or opposing issues he sheds light on and urge others to do the same. On Palestinian genocide, letters are urgently needed demanding an unconditional cease fire, an arms embargo, an end to non humanitarian aid to fascist Israel and a one-state solution with equal rights for all; including the right to return. Letters to Biden/Harris are critical as their support for Palestinian genocide could suppress the vote for Dems and help elect the convicted felon and wannabe dictator, Trump. For Pres. Biden & VP Harris go to WhiteHouse.gov. For congressional reps, call Congress switchboard: (202)224-3121.

Thank you for your solidarity.

Thank you Mehdi for bringing another guy looking for a sugar daddy, just like Israel NRF also needs a funding source- One word answer- NO way; why do we want to be the world policeman.

I guess one Israel is enough.

We need to look inwards and spend the money here on our people here.

No more wars please, I do know the MIC would love to entertain Mr. Ali Nazary and his outlook on Afghan women; I wonder how many women are in their decision making positions in the NRF.

Mehdi Hasan is so good at this. I appreciate that he brings in different voices but always challenges his guests and calls them out on things. I don't know what the answer is after this interview, but I'm still so glad I heard it and learned from it.

This is another Ahmed Chalabi in the works. Stop this madness! The guy is corrupt and seeking power and money, that's it. He doesn't care about Afghani people. He was ruling before Taliban and nothing changed. They were accused of corruption and stole the money.
