As a Boomer, I’m disappointed in the younger Gen’s. We got in the streets and marched and protested to get us to where we were pre-Trump. You guys gotta get some spine! I, too, protested against the Vietnam War and for Civil Rights. But I was never suspended or expelled from university, nor was I ever arrested. Look at what has happened at our universities during the past year to students who valiantly protested against U.S. support of the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Numerous students have been arrested and then expelled; some faculty have been fired. Of course I hope that young and middle-aged people will take to the streets, but I fear that they will face more repercussions. Still, I agree that mass demonstrations will be essential for preserving democracy.
