May his voice and others who have suffered at the hands of the Israelis be heard loud and clear!

If that is to happen, we have to help make that happen. We can tell our friends. We can call and write to Dem candidates, giving them the information and the links. We can challenge them to highlight even this one story because telling one true story about a fellow citizen is more relatable than 10 stories in a news feed. This is personal. How would you feel if this happened to you - attending a "celebration" of a person who single-handedly was responsible for killing so many members of your family, your loved ones? This man is able to speak in human terms about something unimaginable to most Americans. He does not hate. He only asks for the truth. Amplifying his story even one time can possibly make a difference. It's the least we can do.

Schumer is my senator and my representative is Jamaal Bowman ( who unfortunately will be losing his seat to a AIPAC funded opponent)

I will call and ask them to reach out to him personally.

Kirsten Gillibrand is also your senator from New York.

Gillibrand is useless. She refused to meet with US veterans who wanted talk with her about Gaza. She refuses to respond to constituents who have concerns about Israel’s violations of international law. And she blocks everyone who send her messages via social media.

This is the best tidbit I have heard yet about Kamala Harris. Horrifying story, and thanks to one (1) elected official in the USA, story is told.

But for Mehdi's reporting, I doubt if we would have ever known about it at all. I wish there was more we could do to get these stories out. Thanks Mehdi and your newest journalists on the beat❤️

Hani says that only "pressure from outside" will stop the Israeli murder machine. Harris makes phone call to Hani, meets with Netanyahu, criticizes Palestinian protestors, says Gaza deaths are staggering. But fails to advocate a halt to US arms and diplomatic support to the genocide. Harris puts a little daylight between Biden and herself, but doesn't back away from support to Israeli mass murder.

In her role as @vp, that wasn’t realistically possible unless she resigned. But she’s a presidential candidate now, so she can and must provide the details of her Israel policy soon— and it must be action-oriented and markedly different from the policy of @potus or she will lose the support of voters she needs to win in November.

Unfortunately her husband just made it clear that Harris will always stand with Israel. WW3 here we come💔

This is a political campaign. It is absolutely critical that Kamala Harris wins. To demand that she give full-throated support for Palestine could doom her campaign. She has to be allowed to meet the moment being honest without giving Republicans an easy stick to beat her with. She has to be strategic. We know which side she is on but she has to appeal to moderates in swing states or Trump will win. It would be a mistake to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. You don't win an election without compromise. It is one of the hardest lessons to learn. Too easy to demand absolute statements of support for Palestinians. That is why this man's story is so important to tell - it speaks for itself. Tell this story and let people come to their own conclusions. You won't win everyone over but you will cause some people to think and make their own decision. That is the road to a Harris win.

I say it is the task of Palestinian partisans to keep the pressure on Harris. We don't "know which side she is on." We need to hold her feet to the fire. Without struggle there is no progress.

She boycotted Netanyahu's speech and she did meet with him to say what she had to say. We need to read the signals. She can't be absolute in what she says. That is not how you win in politics. If she came out and said what you want her to say, she risks giving the Trump supporters the means to defeat her. That is not what you want, is it? A Trump victory? Stating absolute demands is not supporting the only candidate who can give you anything near to what we all want.

It should be easy to be “absolute” when the issue is genocide and ethnic cleansing. If someone can’t be definitive about that, they won’t get my vote— period. And everyone who wants to blame the voters if @vp @kamalahq loses in November is way off base. The voters have spoken: 70% of Americans OPPOSE what Israel is doing to the Palestinian people (genocide) and Gaza (ethnic cleansing) and view Israel as the victimizer, not the victim. Those same Americans also OPPOSE Biden’s Israel policy of unconditionally defending, funding and arming Israel, which the ICJ recently ruled is a lawless, apartheid state that must change course ASAP. The message from Americans is crystal clear: change course now. We, the American people, give @vp @kamalahq her marching orders, not Netanyahu. She needs to act accordingly. If @vp @kamalahq refuses to do so, she will lose in November and it will be her own fault. Biden refused to listen to the American electorate, so key voters abandoned him. I sincerely hope Harris doesn’t make the same mistake.

I wish more people could understand your reasoning. These are the cold hard facts. It doesn't take away from the horror that happens all around the world, but this is the situation some politicians find themselves in.

I believe she did say ‘I will not be silenced’.

So? Words are meaningless. That’s all we’ve had from Biden @potus for nearly 10 months— words and outright lies. I, for one, must see a brand new policy from @vp @kamalahq and that policy must be detailed with an action-oriented plan to (1) stop Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing ASAP, (2) rebuild Gaza quickly and far better than it was before, (3) hold Israel responsible for its violations of international law and (4) implement a one state or two state solution in relatively short order that gives the Palestinian people the security, freedom, right of self-determination and prosperity they have been deprived of for decades.

Please take time to view what is truly happening in Gaza Palestine Pixel is honest in presenting on the ground atrocities. Hoping Vice President Kamala Harris will meet the moment and I feel she will be a remarkable President.

I hope for the same! Recognizing and personally acknowledging this man’s unfathomable loss and pain, especially so early on in Israel’s genocidal campaign, is a start— but it’s only a start. @VP must come out publicly and provide voters with the DETAILS of her Israel policy and that policy MUST be very different from the untenable and immoral policy of @potus. Words of empathy for the decades-long oppression and horrors suffered by the Palestinian people will no longer suffice. Words must promptly be followed by actions that will ensure the end of Israel’s lawlessness, hold Israeli officials responsible for their crimes and jumpstart the implementation of a single state or two state solution that provides all of the Palestinian people with the secure, peaceful and prosperous future they so deserve.

I'm quite surprised Kamala Harris reached out to this very grief stricken man. It's stunning but not at all surprising that Israel is targeting Mr. Almadhoun's entire family, to wipe them off the face of the earth. Israel knows only death and destruction. And the US Congress giving Bibi his glorious show, to stroke his megalomania ego was one of the most disturbing and utterly shameful events I've ever seen. This is what money and power and the worship of a diabolical monster looks like in 2024. What an absolute tragedy!

The depravity of Bibi and his settler govt is beyond comprehension. And the wilful blindness to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the murders in the West Bank by the AIPAC funded Congress in the US is disgusting. Not only are they wilfully blind to the suffering of the Palestinian ppl, they cheer the chief war criminal and all his lies.

Many families in Gaza have similar tragedies. I am deeply hurt. It is good to hear Kamala called him. However, who in the first place sent them weapons wasn’t it the Biden-Harris administration?

Calling after is not leadership. Stopping the genocide is the key.

She is one person she can't do it alone and certainly not with this country that is so pro Israel if we get Trump nobody will be doing any taking

Of course she (@vp @kamalahq) can. The tail doesn’t wag the dog! Everyone knows it and the sooner we all start acting like it, the better off the world will be. Israel is a little sh^t state and we are the United States. Rightly or wrongly, we frequently throw our weight with other countries— we have to deal with Israel the same way. Israel needs the U.S., the U.S. doesn’t need Israel. It’s long past time our government stops defending, funding and arming an apartheid state (per recent ICJ ruling) at best and a terrorist state at worst. @VP better come out with an Israel policy that is VERY different from Biden’s (@potus) immoral policy or the voters she needs to win in November will abandon her as quickly as they did Biden. And if Trump wins as a result, the blame will fall squarely on @vp @kamalahq, not the voters. The voters have spoken, so she knows what she needs to do to win. Biden refused to listen or acknowledge the voters, will Harris do the same? I hope not.

I’m just weeping now. I cannot fathom the delusional minds of so many in our government or the callousness with which they dismiss their fellow human beings. I’m gutted for this man’s immense loss. I’m gutted for all our congresspeople who have so readily applauded the mass murder of thousands upon thousands of innocent people. Could any of these congresspeople even imagine what it would be like to lose 150 members of their families? My God, what hell has ravished their brains? Could they imagine their small child surrounded by rubble and wailing, his parents and siblings all dead and no one to even pick him up? This is what genocide is. It is the most horrific way that humans can crush other humans.

“do you not know anything about this? Have you not seen anything?’”

Of course they know, of course they have seen. They know that Arab Muslims are being massacred. They have seen that Arab Muslims have been massacred and they are happy that Arab Muslims are being massacred. This is the core of the problem. They hate you because you are Arab Muslim and this is pure racism. It has been like this since the Crusades and I am afraid it won’t change. Don’t expect anything good from them. Fight for your survival !

Thank you for sharing Hani's story. I started following him on IG, because of the information he presented and when he started the Gaza Soup Kitchen initiative I was overwhelmed with his and his family humanity, strength and goodness. They everyday prepare hundreds of meals for starving ones both in North and South Gaza and all the family participates. Therefore, I know you put the GoFundMe link, but a full report about the Kitchen would be good to read.

It is amazing that despite everything he continues to try help his people. I recently watched a the film The Olive Trees Weep and in the post screening discussion one of the audience members asked how/why do Palestinians in the West Bank still protest despite the incredible violence and cruelty they face when they do? He was genuinely asking it from a place of awe. Despite the terrible suffering and the punishment for speaking out they continue to resist in every way they can.

Please review the address of Maryland Senator Mr Chris Van Hollen to the senate 3 days prior to the LIER was to address the joint session . This address is on youtu.be and longer than an hour .

The congress who listened to his address are definitely DEAF, DUMB and BLIND .

They - the congress are Israeli puppets to sit there and listen to the LIER.
