I don't really know what to say anymore!

I'm so ashamed that my country is not only not saying anything to all of this, but supports the Israeli state as if there's no tomorrow. And I feel every time, these things like the torture sites come out and are reported on the support grows even stronger.

We need to create a new electoral party, nothing will change till then. If it is the greens, we need a base of activists in every area of the country where progressive live.

Green Party could be ok, but simply voting without mobilizing is pointless. And especially in bigger elections, otherwise it is just a purity action.

In Los Angeles, a city with more voters than small states, DSA was able to elect 3 city council bmembers on the Dem line by knocking on thousands of doors. . They picked which districts carefully and went all out. . It can be done but not without highly motivated activists.

A convention to create a new party and then get ballot status in enough states to make a difference requires hundreds of thousands dollars.it has Bern tried before and never lasted.

The western media and most western governments look away, although we know there are horrors occurring in Gaza and the West Bank. I cannot fathom the depravity of those that are complicit in these horrors, actively support it (such as the US government), or refuse to cover it (most western media). This behavior exposes the cynicism and hypocrisy of the West's human rights "values".

I used to think Biden, Harris and Antony Blinken were going to do something human. I am horrified by them. And Trump is as corrupt as they get.

The goal is Kushner’s idea. And if Saudis condone this, the MBS should be removed. Israel wants it all. Netanyahu said it at the UN.

It’s crazy to have so much evidence and so much backlash and nothing is being done.

I’m voting Green Party Dr. Jill Stein because I’m not going to sit back and be afraid to pick between 2 evils. We can all do this together

While that is true, not holding Joenocide Biden accountable will give a green light to ALL politicians that they can do what ever without any fear of accountability.

Why do people make excuses for why nothing can change and no effort is worthwhile. It’s pathetic.

if their was a principled alliance, with stated goals, change could happen but all these so called progressive criticize Biden but are their own party of nothing can change,

Speaking as an over 80 year old leftist, I heard all that crap about civil rights in the south and ending the war in Viet man, but hey we in the broadest sense did it. and

today young activists are standing with Palestinians facing genocide by Israel . All those sit ins opened people’s eyes and hearts, I am very proud of my granddaughter for participating in a sit in at college. She is our future.

No it is freaking not, especially in Dem states, your position is why progressives have no electoral voice, also,is used to steer people away from voting for women and people of color. It suppresses turnout, and is racist, just think…please.

The problem is these comments , which equal no change is possible , are repugnant.

if this were true, the US would still have slave plantations. What is likely true , the Democrats are incapable of change. Say that and I’ll agree with you… but… start with ending AIPAC and the DEMS would collapse or turn int, at least, a euro social democratic type party… now it is barely distinct from the Repugs, except people don’t use the N word….at least in public.

Unfortunately, that is a choice that helps Trump. He is also a great evil and he will empower get evil. Biden is blind about Gaza. It is a desperate flaw. But anything that enables Trump is supporting a great evil. As a Canadian, I can't vote in the American election. I can understand why you don't want to vote for Biden but the people behind Trump want the enormous power of American government to wield for the anti-life, anti-Justice, white supremacist Christian fascist empire they want to establish. It could blight the entire planet. Please reconsider. You will not help Palestinians and you will enable a truly great calamity that could blight the lives of the entire human race.

I totally understand and will do the same..but it is performative, she can’t win in any state except ,maybe Vermont. Even sdSA with a lot of core activists, chose to run people for Los Sngeles city council,on the DRM line. There were very smart about it, picked the districts carefully and had all there people knock on door for weeks. There candidates won… on the Dem line. They will not he corrupted. But still it doesn’t challenge the Dems in a deep sense. I think they now have 4 out of 15?????

The BBC in Britain, are in my view no better than the CBC. This so called “impartial” public broadcaster that I used to admire so much, seldom report the actual daily suffering of Palestinians in Gaza or the West Bank during the last eight months - instead their bias for Israel and its narrative is now disappointingly obvious.

I can attest to a lot of what Diana says about the CBC being from amongst the so called "45 percent" that has written into the 'Canadian Stenography Corporation' (a name that far more accurately describes what this organisation does, certainly when it comes to Israel's conduct) calling them out for some of the things Diana points out (not asking the right follow up questions on interviews, conveniently omitting key pieces of context from their so called 'reporting') and the responses I've gotten back are absolutely pathetic. To them, inviting some Palestinian in their shows, writing some articles on the so called 'humanitarian crisis' in Gaza demonstrates how they're 'giving voice' to the Palestinian perspective.

My latest email to the ombudsman was for a piece by Yasmeen Hassan (see: https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/malnutrition-starvation-children-gaza-1.7240426). I was appalled at how she cynically and selectively quoted Younis' mother to create this impression that everything was hunky dory on Oct 6th. Worse yet, Yasmine thought it unnecessary to mention that the imposition of a total seige on Oct 9th is the number one cause of this man-made famine even though Oxfam, Human Rights Watch etc. have all extensively documented how the Israelis are using starvation as a weapon of war. Notice too how Oct 7th needs to be invoked even though this article supposedly has nothing to do with events of that day (and which the CBC has already extensively covered). And for some reason, Yasmine thought it necessary to regurgitate the 'Hamas uses them as human shields' trope as an explanation of why most hospitals are destroyed when the focus in an article about children starving in Gaza should've been Yoav Gallant's seige, deliberate blocking of humanitarian aid, targetting and killing aid workers, systematically crippling UNRWA and being the primary reasons behind why Younis and many kids like him are starving.

CBC has been horrible here in Canada. I can’t even watch or read them anymore. Mind you, I stopped before October 7 as they do not present nuanced, smart, investigative journalism anymore. I just can’t believe that the genocide continues live-streamed and our governments pretend that it is either not that bad or that it is somehow justified. Disgusting!

I have followed the CBC for decades, even though I, shamefully now, live in the U.S. They didn't used to be so biased a long time ago when it was just TV news and actual paper newspapers. With the advent of digital news, they have fallen in line with the rest of main stream news around the world because they badly need the money, like all the rest.

This whole business in Gaza and the West Bank won't go away until the Zionist Israelis go away. Bottom line. They will continue their war crimes and ethnic cleansing so long as big brother U.S. continues to have their backs. The U.S. let themselves get backed into a corner by allowing the Israeli lobbies to exert so much coercion on the U.S. politicians. Now, the favors have come due. Until the democrats and republicans are sent packing in American politics, nothing will change.

The three soldiers released by Hamas were healthy and happy after 15 months.

The Palestinians released by Israel were raped , tortured and starved.

82% of Israelis think thats OK?

So much for gods chosen ones. If it wasn't so much as they gave themselves that title.

They could also pass as a tribe of Murderous Lying Savages.

Try thieves, also.

Thats just 82% of Israelis.

18 % are realy good.

And then they complain about Antisemitism?
