I don’t know how to answer this. My response is that both sides are going along with killing. One side is able to do it on a bigger scale and its enemy sees this as good for their public relations. And yes, my concern is very much how this all plays out in domestic politics. In my opinion there isn’t a good option for Biden and it looks like both Netanyahu and Hamas is determined to put the USA in a losing position. I’m sorry that this will sound very callous, but Gaza is a minor issue in the total picture of the Middle East. It is tragic that the Palestinians are pawns in this big picture. It has been that way for decades.
Oct 7 was intended to bring their issue up and it did, but at their own expense. From Black September to Arafat to now Hamas in Gaza their situation has become worse. Is it all Israel’s fault? (I am not a scholar on this. Just a relatively uninformed observer, but things look like they are getting worse and worse. )
