The white woman who was taken away by police in Georgia was Noëlle McAfee, the Philosophy Dept Chair @ Emory University. Emory President, Gregory Fenves proceeded to mislead the community, calling the violence invoking decision to engage Atlanta PD & Georgia State Troopers necessary & related to outside agitators. Subsequently, the faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences held a “no confidence vote”, with over 75% agreement against President Fenves. The undergraduate students followed, with nearly identical results. Fenves has not stepped down or been relieved of his role in leading Emory University.
I’ve read and listened to what Zeteo has to say and appreciated its presentersopinions and hard work that Mehdi has put in to the journalproduction. Unfortunately this is the first time YouTube adverts have so confused the message that it’s been drowned out. Pity as I’ve enjoyed Zeteo’s previous episodes.
I have a friend in Gaza, and I fear for his safety as well as the safety of his loved ones and all other Palestinians in that part of the world. I also understand that the situation in Gaza is extreme and absolutely horrible. But with all the attention being paid to the indigenous of Palestine, I am saddened that the indigenous of North America are being neglected--also to the extreme.
I LOVE the "Ghost of Harriet Tubman" line. 💕
