I’m grateful for Zeteo, especially its refusal to forget about the Palestinian people. I’m glad Trump and the Republicans are losing support. However, I don’t expect Democratic politicians to save us. They want to save the Democratic Party, and it’s important to remember that the party and the people are not the same thing. Just one example: when asked recently on cable tv who he would like to see as Senate leader instead of Schumer, Ro Khanna, who purports to be a progressive, named Cory Booker, among others. The Cory Booker who has been a die-hard supporter of Netanyahu, AIPAC beneficiary, one of a handful of Senate Democrats who voted for the Republicans’ crypto bill, and one of a handful of Democrats who voted to confirm Charles Kirchner, Jared Kirchner’s father as ambassador to France after Ivanka and Jared Kirchner hosted a fundraiser for Booker at their Park Avenue apartment. Charles Kirchner’s qualifications? He was pardoned by Trump for crimes that included tax evasion and witness tampering. Khanna’s endorsement of Booker for a leadership position within the party not only calls into question the seriousness of Khanna’s own proclaimed concern about Palestinians, but signals that the Democrats will likely continue their support of Israel as a party. Again, they’re concerned about their own reelection, not their constituents or the moral high ground. If they’re willing to sacrifice the Palestinians, what else are they willing to sacrifice?

I hope that electing more Democrats to Congress will be a start in a new direction, but I also hope the people will no longer accept the status quo from either party. This is a time for real change.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm not impressed.

Headline should be "AIPAC lackey for Dem leader?!"

And FYI, although there's been some good news, I definitely remain a "hysterical ninny" with dread for America's future. 🙄

Speaker Jeffries MUST be replaced as soon as possible by someone dedicated to the PEOPLE and nature, as well as to peace and justice in the world. We don’t need the distraction of his being primaried, but we DO need the next in line to the Presidency after the VP to be someone who, for instance, goes on a ‘defeat the oligarchy’ tour. Just saying! Taking down the regime is more than taking down the current GOP. It’s removing the establishment Dems from control, and putting the oligarchy in their rightful place, which is to support and promote the well-being of the entire nation and the world at large.

Nope. Hope the Dems vote for someone else. He's weak and didn't see the danger right in front of him after Dump's 2024 election. He either didn't know or could not apply the lessons from Nazi Germany and fascist Italy.

It amazes me how this administration has "committed $10b in taxpayer funds to buy private companies" and "Trump personally purchased up $5m of Intel's corporate debt" doesn't even find it's way into the news landscape. Wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving holiday.

Why are they talking about how much a turkey costs like its proof of inflation. I just think in terms of making an argument about cost of living, isn't it more important to talk about what it cost per year to eat on average. That is a useful metric, not what Walmart charges for one meal?
