I agree, but at least they arenโt silencing him on Palestine. So many big companies are complicit in the destruction and illegal occupation that Israel is committing, its almost impossible to avoid it
I donโt think a talented, high-profile comedian such as Hasan Minhaj should have too much trouble finding a sponsor that isnโt an official target of the Palestinian National Committeeโs boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns. Heโs definitely taken a bit of a blow in my estimation with this. #notechforapartheid
I agree, I am definitely not defending Hasan, nor would I ever use booking.com. But I think the point that underpins it all, you canโt escape it. Take Social media, itโs essentially digital fiefdoms owned and operated by the tech giants. Twitter (x) is owned by a man who literally did a nazi salute. But how else are we to have our public discourse.
I, too, would like to see Mehdi challenge Hasan Minhaj on his lack of support for the BDS movement with regard to his Bookings sponsor. This was a smart and entertaining exchange but I was deeply conflicted when that ad came on. Also, Minhaj should not be telling Mehdi to tone down the spice. If anything, the horrific crisis that is the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians needs to be amplified.
Such a great interview! I love Zeteo and am grateful for Mehdi and the Zeteo team. โค๏ธ That said, I didn't realize that Mehdi's extreme overuse of Elon's Tweeter was an act of protest against Fascism by bolstering the neo-Nazi's platform. My bad! ๐๐ Mehdi, please, no more playing with Elon's Tweeter (think of that every time you open the app). Do it for the children... ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ถ๐พ๐ถ๐ฟ
Mehdi Hasan temporarily losing his British twang during the Code Red scene is code switching that all of us immigrants across countries can relate to! Brain farting between British and American accentsโฆ totally get it. ๐
Booking.com also lists properties for rent in the illegal settlements of occupied Palestine, Hasan. ๐

Not impossible. Just support the BDS movement and do some homework on what companies one should boycott.
Love this. Nice to change things up. But I also want to buy the zeteo hoodie!

"Mehdi Hasan is a clout addict"
And I will enable him because I love the content!
Love this! A lot of fun and very interesting.
Tangentially, of course I plan to renew my paid subscription and so should everyone ๐ค

Now this was entertainment.
Ditto the hoodie.
