Great reporting, great writing. The sole mission of UN Watch, run by Hillel Neuer, is to destroy UNRWA. Hillel Neuer is from Canada and that 'reporter' who asked the ridiculous rage bait question "Does Israel have the right to exist?" is also from Canada.

Israel owns Canada - the media, the politicians and the public discourse. You're simply not allowed to say the word gencocide because, as the CBC puts it, "The ICJ has yet to rule that it is a genocide". To even criticise Israel is anti-Semitic.

This makes no sense to me. It's embarrassing to say I am Canadian.

@Fatima Bhutto Thank you for superb timely piece on Francesca Albanese, not only an “Internet star,” but more importantly, a brilliant passionate human being who is using her UN SR mandate as a powerful platform to speak truth to power, backed up by recommendations for concrete actions we (all of us) can take. Her generous shout-out to some of the most eloquent Palestinian writers and

activists today is a call to listen, to read, and to act.

Thank you for this profile of Francesca Albanese. I greatly admire her courage and determination in speaking out about the horrendous atrocities that the Israeli government has committed in Gaza. I've lost all faith in the so-called commitment to human rights espoused by the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, and Australia! I am also astonished by the number of US universities who appear to have lost any commitment to free speech and human rights!

Chris Hedges has referred to the ongoing suppression of support for Palestinians on U S and other campuses as an "academic gulag."

Brava! Great piece, Ms. Bhutto, great women, both of you. It's inspiring to me to see the refusal of Ms. Albanese to be cowed, and I share her passionate love for justice.

What disturbs me almost as much as the genocide itself is the way the rest of the world just watches, and does nothing.
