Has anyone seen the picture of the column of names of journalists that have been killed by the IDF in Gaza? That should tell us everything about the information coming out of Israel about this tragedy. The International Criminal Court has also weighed in but the US and some of their little lackeys are the only ones stopping a UN resolution to end the occupation of Palestine. It's not enough Netanyahu has killed over 50,000, now he wants to starve and displace the rest of the population. All the while the Biden and the Trump administration continue to help with his efforts.

By the time this shift is able to take effect there may be no Palestinians left in Gaza! Centuries ago, some Roman general said: “ they made a desert and called it peace.”

The word “peace” anywhere near the words “process” and “Israel” is absolutely meaningless, unless it includes a plan to end the occupation of Palestine and return to the borders of 1967.

My heart sinks when I realize that by the time we have Cheeto Con and his allies out of the Oval Office there may indeed be a new Riviera on the Gaza coast.

No, no, no.

All aid must be cut off at least until the US-Backed Israel starts respecting international law and end this OCCUPATION.

I pray that Cory Booker gets on the right side of this and listens to his constituents instead of AIPAC!

Debra: As I recall, Cory Booker voted in favor of sending more weapons to Israel. If that vote is confirmed, he is in favor of genocide and he should run as a Republican. Mehdi ought to interview him and demand an explanation.

Sadly I don’t think so. He’s best friends with the AIPAC people too. It isn’t just the money with him.

Time the Democratic Committee caught up with the rest of those like Bernie and OAC who take an active role in the party and the furtherence of democatic ideas regarding the slaughter of the Palestinians, climate, health care as in Medicare for all. The chair of the committee reprimanded David Hogg for saying the quiet part out loud: primary people (like Schumer, who along with the other NY state Senator Gillibrand votes always for more arms for Israel) who just aren't performing according to what their constituents want. Amen to Hogg!

Love David Hogg but they will go to no end trying to oust his young ass. The elders need to go. A new younger generation needs to blossom !

What? Is this being addressed to me? If so, you’re way off base. I’ve supported the squad since their origin, including with money, and I e been very selective about that. Nothing wrong with advising Hogg that he needs to improve his messaging if he wants to be more effective. He’s the one who decides what to put in his emails. I usually get more than one a day. Maybe because I’ve supported the squad? Your own messaging could use some refinement. Easy to insult people. Harder to persuade them.

I didn’t know he said that. Thanks for the info. It makes me like him more. I thought he was just pushing replacing veteran Democratic politicians with younger people. That’s all he says in the emails he sends me. Nothing about policy. Not the way to win people over. He needs to let us know what policies he stands for.

The Biden Administration’s “posture” on Israel-Palestine was not moderate — it was extreme. The Administration waged genocide — that’s extreme. Yet Biden and Harris supporters continue to refer to themselves as “moderates.” They need to be called out. Recently, only 14 Democrats (and no Republicans) voted for Senator Sanders’ bill to cut off military aid to Israel. Cory Booker, who has apparently launched his campaign for the presidency, has voted consistently to fund genocide. Of course he is just one of many.

This morning I posted a comment on another Substack site calling for Democrats to contact their Congressional reps to press for a ceasefire. I was, as expected, called a Trump supporter and was told the usual b.s., e.g., Biden tried to negotiate. Although I received some support for my comment, more posters supported my attacker. I have found this too typical of Democratic Party stalwarts. Journalist Jeffrey Scahill, who has covered Gaza from the ground, has referred to themselves as the MAGA blue cult. Their view of the Democratic coalition is very narrow. Why, for example, would so many attack those of us who oppose the genocide. Are they really so invested in genocide? What’s so hard about pressuring politicians who ask for our votes to oppose the genocide? We could stop this if there were enough of us being sufficiently vocal. Biden and Harris also denigrated the protesters. They try to make us feel that we are the outliers, the extremists. Lying about beheaded babies, as Biden did, is crazy. No well person does that. So, why are we letting these people intimidate us?

China's Local Move To Gold For Trade Replacing Dollar

China is now preparing to establish a gold standard in trading with its local ASEAN trading partners through the Shanghai Gold Exchange established in 2002 With an estimated 30K+ tons of gold it is strongly positioned to use the yuan backed by gold to displace the dollar as the global reserve currency

This is a really big deal for much of the America's economic strength over the decades has been as its place as reserve currency in global trade But with the deterioration of its purchasing power due to excessive QE over the decades the weakened dollar position can now be easily exploited by China whose geopolitical strategy has always been to let the US make the mistakes and patiently wait for its turn to move, much akin to the philosophy of martial arts

The time is right to strike with the US weakened with what the Chinese knowing that the largest credit bubble in world history has been popped prompted by the Orange Cheeto and his Nazi followers with the equity markets reflecting this With China being the second largest buyer of US treasuries to support the ballooning American debt this adds another layer of complexity that puts the US in a very vulnerable position

The only safe place to be in this global destruction of fiat currencies is to get out of credit and get into real money which is gold/silver

Hi Doc,

Whilst a little hyperbolic (the credit bubble hasn't popped... yet) I do agree with the general thrust of the point (as a reserve currency the USD is slipping, as it has been for 20+ years, but hasn't reached it's tipping point...again, yet). I've said basically the same thing on other relevant Zeteo articles that approach economic policy, but my question is; what does your comment have to do with the article?

What's obscure in this solution is that a certain weapons company (its founders first name and its name starts with the letter 'P') is using Palestine as its testing ground for war tech. These are the same clowns attempting a takeover of the pentagon too. Their CEO is a caricature of the evil scientist in cartoons.

Orwell could never have dreamt these real life villains up. The weapons developers may have taken the lead already.

'May have taken the lead already' seems pretty redundant. The term 'Military Industrial Complex' was first termed in Eisenhower's farewell address in 1961. So.... 6 decades ago.

That a computer chip or two has been added, doesn't change this.

I'd guess "I don't know" number and agree number would shrink by a few percent without the disingenuous link of genocide to self defense.

I'm glad most people are aware and see through it, but some people (Bernie Sanders cough cough..) can't seem to snap out of it due to ideological metal baggage.

Thanks, this is a very good poll. People least believe the DNC establishment view on Palestine, which incudes the manipulative and disingenuous phrase right to defend without quotes.

If that clause was dropped (you put it properly in quotes in discussing it), you would get a better read on how people feel.
