When people spread hate and blasphemy, it is not a shock to see them reap what they spread.

The alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, comes from a Republican family, though Tyler is not registered to any party. His father is a retired sheriff in Washington County, Utah. There are photos of Tyler and his family with guns. Tyler Robinson dressed as Donald Trump for Halloween: a devout supporter, it would seem. Could it be that Charlie Kirk calling for the release of the Epstein files caused a problem?

Grifting to turn grief into grievance, manipulating the many’s mourning, Donald Trump solicits rage that he can exploit for violence—before there is any proof the left contributed to the shooting. That is irresponsible leadership from Trump and Republican members in Congress. Gross irresponsibility of this magnitude is criminal malfeasance.

It is Trump who constantly and vociferously demonizes the left with his rhetoric. He does not seek to quench the Nation’s anger, he seeks to inflame any given moment, stoking the fire well before investigation uncovers any facts at all. It is he and Kirk that traded in vile, demonizing rhetoric designed to incite violence.

These two monetized their hostility like the money changers they are. They gaslighted the rest of us whenever a fire broke out, and they simultaneously fanned those flames while pouring gasoline on the fire.

History dictates that the shooter will be a Republican supporter. Have you paid attention at all to the political and racist violence of last decade? If so, you know the party of violence. https://hotbuttons.substack.com/p/bilious-hate-mongering?r=3m1bs

When they finish the investigation. I think it has to do with the Epstein files. Did Kirk backtrack on the release of files. Could have made trump supporter mad.

What a horrible person! I actually thought Donald Trump's reaction to Kirk's murder would be to call for a public execution, the first one, to be continued with others. I hope Kirk's followers know all of the above comments Kirk made. They are so full of hate and profound ignorance. I fear for this country, more than words can ever express.

Charlie Kirk was a flawed human being with some radical and terrible ideologies. The beauty of the United States has always been that one is free to espouse such things without being shot, to openly express even hatred and prejudice toward one’s fellow Americans. Kirk was deserving of our disgust at his words, but he was not deserving of being shot where he stood. I weep for my country.

I can't say he deserved to be killed. But he was dead wrong about the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment was written at a time when personal arms might be a set of one-shot pistols and maybe a musket. Today personal arms , particularly that available in the US, might include deadly machine guns that can take out many people with one burst of fire.

I'm incredulous at the media and government response. While I certainly don't endorse violence, and his death is tragic, everyone seems to be whitewashing Charlie Kirk's history.

Charlie Kirk is being venerated, not just on FOX, but on MSNBC. MSNBC fired the one person (Matthew Dowd) who spoke the truth. Even my wife, who regularly watches MSNBC, had to turn it off, as Nicole Wallace and others venerated this guy who just spread hate. Watching MSNBC, you would have thought that JFK or MLK had been murdered, not someone who has spread hate speech, diminished women, people of color, LGBTQ people, and liberals in general, and endorsed violence against liberals.

Even Governor Maura Healey of Massachusetts, a gay woman, is keeping flags at half mast to honor Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk would have hated her!!

What kind of world have we become when someone like this is treated like a martyred hero?

David Duke and Alex Jones must be incredulous that they have been (rightly) vilified and sued, while Charlie Kirk gets worshipped, even by the left.

I agree MSBC has become unreliable and hard to watch. I didn’t really know who this guy was and after reading your comment about Matthew Dowd, I looked him up. Mr. Dowd did not say anything worth being fired over especially since he was on live and had no idea what had happened. He just said it’s unfortunate the atmosphere here so toxic now. Is that really so unacceptable to say? Has it become so un-American to voice an opinion now? Shame on Nicolle Wallace - I did see part of her show and you’re right, she acted like the most angelic person had just been killed. Thank you to Zeteo for posting these breathtakingly horrible remarks, and Thank you James for your post too. I appreciate both and learned something.

You are so right! I have been reading comments and messages on various media platforms, from both Republicans and Democrats and those who don't seem to know what they really stand for and the hypocrisy is so thick you could baptize it in self-righteousness and still come up dry!

Simple: we live in a country that still, more than 160 years later, idolizes the traitors that were the Confederacy more than they do the people who actually won the war. That tells you everything you need to know about the "worship" of a bigot like Kirk.

You are absolutely right! Just one thing though, the right who made use of him in life will canonize him a saint and martyr for their cause and scrub every inconvenient truth from his legacy. His racism, his bigotry, his contempt for immigrants, and his grotesque rationalization of gun violence as a noble sacrifice for the Second Amendment.

They’ll sanctify the man, not for who he was, but for how usefully he served their narrative. The bloodshed he excused will be rebranded as patriotism. The cruelty he endorsed will be reframed as conviction. And the silence he kept in the face of suffering will be recast as principled restraint.

Keir Starmer, UK PM if it had escaped anyone's notice, tweeted "My thoughts this evening are with the loved ones of Charlie Kirk.

It is heartbreaking that a young family has been robbed of a father and a husband.

We must all be free to debate openly and freely without fear - there can be no justification for political violence."

Until yesterday I doubt if any but a few cranky right wingers in the UK, and the members of the Oxford Union, had ever heard of the guy. Whereas Keir Starmer has been ably assisting political violence against the Palestinians with no thoughts for them or their loved ones, let alone heartbreak, ever since he came into office.

Perfect summation of Chas Kirk

Using The Angry Mob Mentality For Change

Anger is double edged sword It can be destructive which gives this emotion a bad rap But it can be constructive when used in way to respond to threat WE the People are under a Nazi takeover threat and WE are angry at what is transpiring Our only hope is that the Democratic Party can meet the moment with anger and continue to not play by the rules and civility to quash the Nazis in what can only be termed a political civil war

With that said WE the People are behind the Democrats no matter how bad we may think their policies are because they stand between the democratic republic and a Russian dictatorship And I think that there is enough public animosity about this Nazi takeover that a Congressional mandate will become apparent in the 2026 midterms

So what does a Democratic platform look like? It better be darn close to what that anger that brought about the Democratic election results No more civility No more compromise No more reaching across the aisle It should look like a knockdown drag out fight and no taking prisioners This should include election reform to include mandatory mail in voting in every state and removal of gerrymandering , SCOTUS expansion, abortion rights and women’s reproductive health initiatives, end Citizens United and big money in politics, AND revocation of tax relief for billionaires and corporations
