This guy is worse than Hershel Walker. He is projecting that he is an anti-Semite running against a Jewish democratic candidate. More than likely he doesn't even believe the hype he spreads. But will say anything for the grift. The positive part , he is not going to win. He is an embarrassment to the black community in North Carolina and to all Americans.

I certainly hope he can't win. Hopefully the energetic young Dem Party Chair Anderson Clayton can really GOTV.. It's time for this positive progressive energy to rise..

He won't. He'll take the rest of the NC GOP down with him.

I gotta say this selection actually puts NC in play for Biden, who I think lost the state by 75k votes, or something like that. Unfortunately, the NC Democratic Party is fairly weak, although they have some infrastructure thanks to Cooper and Stein.

Robinson's "crazy" and dangerous is pretty well known and NC voters are basically moderates. Cooper has been a solid governor and has a good instinct for what dogs hunt and what do not. Robinson doesn't and, more importantly, he doesn't care. This guy is Doug Mastriano but for the south. Mark my words.

I truly hope you're right. I agree that Cooper has been a solid gov. Stein has been a solid AG as well. Robinson did basically nothing as Lt Gov, except for spewing bile. And yet he's polling neck and neck with Stein! It don't add up, I tellz ya!

Yeah, but the persuadables - the swing voters in the swing states, upon whom the outcome in November depends - watch the media too. That's who needs to see who this awful man is and the Republican nominee who praises him.

Common sense says this candidate will not see victory. Yet we are still dealing with Mango Mussolini. Seems we really need to educate our electorate.

Great, well written article about Robinson. Does this guy come out of a white evangelical tradition in North Carolina (perhaps as one of its token Blacks)? Do any Blacks support him? It would help to know his biography. Who is financing him? How did he get his start?

He has the full backing of MAGA. At a rally March 2 in Greensboro, Trump referred to Robinson as “Martin Luther King on steroids.” Robinson had MAGA and NRA support for Lt. Gov four years ago and is a targeted "must win" candidate for MAGA this fall. There are a lot of extreme rightwing Trumpist rich guys that don't care about his color which will be used as a political statement, just his MAGA attitudes... especially about the "enemies" ... LGBT, Jews, Migrants, Women, and Dems...

Everything Trump touches dies. This is how the Republican Party comes to an end.

The question that worries me is whether Trump kills our democracy too.

What's most disturbing is how many Republicans in North Carolina support him. This is the issue we face across the country. Tens of millions of MAGA Americans are racist and bigoted. They want a dictator to persecute and prosecute everyone they hate.

I find it difficult to click on a heart emoji after reading this. So I'll just concur that his record needs some widespread, aggressive reporting.

Clicking the heart emoji is not an endorsement of this candidate. It is to show you like the article written exposing Robinson and would like more articles like this to be written.

Because, other than age and citizenship there literally are NO qualifications- not even for POTUS or for that matter, justices - not even a law degree technically.

This is why Zeteo News is needed. Western News will try to both sides it and will not expose the extreme views of this candidate. They will normalize his behavior to make it a level playing field between both candidate. The news has learned nothing from 2015 and on, when they normalized trump as a candidate and then as president.

The NYT initially called him something like "a conservative firebrand ready to jump into the culture wars or something." Now it's this -

"Mr. Robinson formally entered politics in 2019, when he began his run for lieutenant governor. He has appeared eager to drive divisions, disparaging L.G.B.T.Q. people and quoting Hitler on social media."

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/06/us/politics/north-carolina-governor-mark-robinson.html

I guess their readers gave them enough crap to change it, but it shouldn't have taken that.

Up until 2016 I actually thought America was in an upward trajectory to be a more inclusive, open, sane nation. Feels like we somehow shifted to an alternate reality. A decade of FOX News vitriol brought forth the dark underbelly of US society. Never honestly confronting our past and now attempting to erase it.
