An additional contributor with expertise and practice experience in international human rights law and humanitarian law, and related laws of war would help frame, report on and analyze ongoing developments, especially in Gaza, Ukraine, and other conflict/war situations. A rule of law and accountability framework, makes clear that state and non-state actors are engaged in illegal actions— genocide, crimes against humanity, and violations of binding international obligations. Yes, there is a dismal reality that these obligations and norms are flouted with impunity (domestically and internationally), but all the more reason to educate the public. Basic civics.
