Rachel and Medhi are different in important ways. Medhi can speak the truth away from MSNBC in a way Rachel will never be able to (and evidently doesn't care to). Medhi was my favourite on MSNBC. He brought the reporting to where it should be for such a large network. I was a bit shocked and disappointed when he left, also as it indicated that MSNBC wasn’t as diverse or as good as I thought it was. Also, it was good to see US mainstream media having some more ballsy reporting about what’s happening. I still watch for Chris Hayes, Lawrence, and Ayman, as they’re pretty good, but otherwise disappointed by it.
