I’m waiting for someone/anyone to do a thorough autopsy of the Democratic Party DEBACLE in the last election. Where did the $1.9 BILLION DOLLARS of people’s donation go. The same people who undermined Harris before she became the nominee were put in charge of her campaign. Why didn’t the party that was defending “Democracy” hold a democratic primary? Why did the “transitional” president run for a second term? Why did his inner circle hide his diminished capacity from the American people? Why haven’t the senior democratic leaders resign? All House and Senate leaders were re-elected unanimously after losing the House, Senate, Presidency and the Popular Vote. Harris campaigned with Liz Cheney and Mark Cuban rather than Bernie Sanders and Shawn Fain. Hillary, Biden and Harris were all insiders, Joe barely won. The Dems win with outsiders like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. All of the Covid era benefits were allowed to expire at the same time as inflation was rising. Biden did a piss poor job of communicating what he accomplished in his first two years. I hope the Democratic Party does some SERIOUS reflection if they ever want to win again. I want to know why the DOJ has not pre-emptively filed a law suit challenging the constitutionally of Project 2025? If student loan forgiveness can be challenged in the courts, how much more this? Here’s a quick (though simplified) thought. Follow the money. For more than seven decades, interrelated “philanthropies” funded research, academic publications, university chairs or programs, to support and legitimize an ideological agenda, that was then effectively implemented to influence policymakers and shift democratic institutions, e.g, through judicial appointments. The Democratic Party (and efforts to develop third parties) have failed to counter with a united comprehensive long-view strategy. We need to ask different questions that reflect a much longer timeframe than election cycles.
