Medhi, Here is a message I sent to the White House yesterday regarding Bibi's choice for the new ambassador to the United States. Last night I distributed copies at the CAIR-Fl gala in Tampa. Hoping others will contact Biden and others about this: Mr. President, I strongly urge you to refuse Israel's new ambassador to the United States, a Mr. Leiter. Doing so would renew your failed relationship with Arab and Muslim Americans, and especially Palestinian Americans. Mr. Leiter represents the most extreme zionist ideas that run counter to both international and national laws. His association with the assassinated Rabbi Kahane who advocated forcible removal of all non-Jews from a Greater Israel, and then killing those who refuse to leave, his friendship with the man who entered a mosque and committed mass murder of worshippers, and his loud and consistent voice for stealing additional Palestinian land by illegal settler colonists leading to the building of more settlements which the U.S. opposes, make him a pariah to the Jewish and Muslim and Christian ideals of justice, peace, compassion and mercy. Mr. Leiter does not deserve to enter the White House, let alone our country. If you do not use your power under Article II, Sec. 3 of the Constitution, you will give carte blanche to the building of Greater Israel on the rubble, bones and bodies of Palestinians. Today there are more than 45,000 Gazans and West Bankers killed, 70 per cent of them women and children. Prime Minister Netanyahu with Mr. Leiter pushing a "final solution" upon your administration already complicit in crimes against humanity will be a permanent black mark on your otherwise wonderful presidency. Don't allow Mr. Leiter to seek revenge for his son killed in battle by gazanizing the West Bank and forever ending Palestinian hopes.
I’m thinking of the man who is the director of Kamal Adwan hospital whose son was killed (late October) and brought to the hospital. Contrast this man with Mr Leiter. In Dr Safiyeh’s grief he refuses to abandon his patients and continues his work as a healer. In Mr Leiter’s grief he works to annihilate and destroy to maximize his revenge. Thank you for your amazing letter and persistent efforts for Justice.
I also just found out that the people stealing the Palestinians land , the settlers, are People with criminal records from USA. murderers included, who have been given the green light to continue their murderous instincts , on Palestinians.
Our website is www.partnersforpalestine.org with a lot of factual information about the Palestinians and Israelis. Our members include former state department officials, the wife of one of the delegates representing Palestine at the UN, and many individuals who have lived and are living in the Occupied Territories. Still learning about this conflict and ways to resolve it with new leadership on both sides.
I do appreciate your work. I also fear for your safety now that 45 is back in power. Thanks and take care of yourself and your team while continuing to try to shed light in this horrible time.
Not my comments, but a European commenting on the US election.
As a European I will never understand some US politics that just never seem to be resolved. How is abortion a topic every single election? Why are LGBTQ rights always a key focus and why can't you just let people be who they are? How is universal healthcare not a thing? Why is religion and God constantly brought up? Why do you feel safer having guns? How on earth is Trump the best person Republicans have to offer? Why is America so hostile towards women? Why are personal attacks a key component of campaigning? I'm tired of American moral superiority when they elect such an immoral man to be president.
As someone who works in sales in an international environment, I'll tell you this: of all customers Americans are the easiest to sell to. They are easily manipulated, heavily influenced by emotions, live on debt, buy if they like you, and make foolish decisions. Pretend you are their friend, flatter them, build an emotional environment, and they'll buy anything spending money they don't have and spending money they should be spending on more important things. Europeans, Asians, and Australians are much more difficult to sell to.
There is a reason why many people in the world hold the stereotype that Americans are stupid. I've met many intelligent Americans, but as a nation I'm not very impressed.
I too think that Americans are far too gullible, unsophisticated and way too trusting, good-hearted too. It's easy to sell them a bill of goods as we see every election time. But why they always vote against their own best interests is a mystery - mind you, the choice they are given is always lousy.
See the appendix about January 6th (why Trump is a true believer, not just a manipulator of evangelicals) in my forthcoming The Dusk of Everything.....
Ask for it to be sent to you. Trump's words are his code to MAGA believers. Here comes Gilead, as Margaret Atwood first warned us--and I have for twenty years or more.
I'm sorry, Medhi and Harwood. You just don't get it.

Michael, in my humble opinion Trump is spiritually dead, I don't think he believes i anything, let alone God. In his eyes he is chaste and sees no reason to ask God for forgiveness for anything - he said so himself. The only One who is perfect is God, not Trump!
Ms. Belanger. Your comment is well taken and respected. Unfortunately, I cannot educate Zeteo subscribers in a few isolated posts on this forum. And I have not been invited to do so at greater length by Zeteo. I have benefited greatly from Gabor Maté (never invited also) and Medhi's knowledge of the history of Palestine and experience of the Zionist occupation. They have opened my eyes. Now I can only suggest that Medhi and his devout following do so about the evangelical/MAGA occupation of the so-called United States. Who Trump "really is" is copiously demonstrated in my "The Dusk of Everything. . . ." (forthcoming) and elsewhere. Although I respect your belief that "The Only One who is perfect is God", Trump is no different from any other televangelist who has swindled a congregation and dominated and sexually abused women. One might as well view them as not believing anything either. But perhaps you already do.
I've suggested a couple of texts, if you are interested. Those wishing pdfs may view a select bibliography and request them at mischa139@gmail.com. "Paradise Joe's. . . . (use full title)" can be ordered from the Bookbaby publisher online and elsewhere.
I have listened to Gabor Mate and his two sons discussing trauma/addiction and Israel. It was the former that drew me to his interviews. What he says on the retraumatizing of Jews in the way they are raised echoes what I heard Naomi Klein discuss in one of her earlier interviews with Mehdi.
Zeteo is obviously a work in progress but so far I have been impressed with the coverage of events, interviews Mehdi and others have offered. I like the analogy of sometimes you are flying the aeroplane while you are building it. I think that fits Zeteo.
Valuable observations. "The Myth of the Normal" should be on everyone's bookshelf. I believe I posted some of this (below) earlier somewhere on Zeteo. I sent the whole of it to Ms. Klein at her university north of us in British Columbia. As is usual with "big names" I received no acknowledgement of receipt. (Medhi Hassan, Nov. 10 ". . . .Big-name contributors from Naomi Klein to John Harwood to Fatima Bhutto to Greta Thunberg to Bassem Youssef have all come to you with very different views of the world.") "Very different views"?
My point was: "echoes" from Naomi Klein are knee-jerk obvious. Hadn't heard anyone address the point I was making: Why are seemingly "good" people condoning/funding genocide? Maybe it is too obvious. Yet I haven't heard it anywhere else:
To call out Israel—even just Netanyahu and his ultranationalist, ultra-orthodox, “settler”-intoxicated-driven or enabling cabinet member buddies—for genocide would threaten, undermine, if not destroy, what has been for many the unimpeachable, century’s-long legacy of antisemitism, that almost cherished history of the horrific pogroms that have been visited upon the Jewish people. The entire mythological infrastructure of victimization. As seen in the current ideological weaponization of a people’s historic suffering. For calling out the genocide would trigger an accounting or reckoning that a good many well-meaning people (giving them the benefit of the doubt they don’t give others) are not willing or able to even imagine or countenance, let alone perform; perhaps never have been. For that would destabilize the entire iconic edifice, this identification of Judaism with an unblemished record of victimization that all too many have assumed and embraced—tear-jerkingly celebrated even—for decades. It would violate their myth of the immaculate victimization conception, calling all that into question.
For to acknowledge the reality of a genocidal Zionism would send Israel, as a conquering colonizing occupier ever since 1947, headlong into a shared final solution universe.
“Give us the tools and we’ll finish the job faster,” brays Netanyahu. Yes, actually, let him finish the job, carry out the final Zionist solution. Wipe the Palestinians off the map of Greater Israel, cleansing vermin from the land promised the Chosen Ones by Yahweh. Accordingly, I’ve no doubt future journalistic investigations on par with Snowden, Manning, or Assange will reveal Netanyahu or his cabinet-level buddies having egged on or even collaborated (do what you have to do—wink, wink) with Hamas on October 7th. No wonder the hostages mean next to nothing to him.
Consider then how such a reckoning would shred any lingering vestige of Semitism as the ne plus ultra of world historical victimization. Judaism as the gold standard, the GOAT. And yet perhaps the greatest irony of all could very well be that by refusing to do this painful, long overdue work of reckoning we most likely have ensured that the Zionist occupation, and perhaps even Israel itself, will eventually go up in the flames of its own ignition. Or, failing that, simply go on endlessly propping up the last malingering vestige of Middle East colonialism. Where the once invincible nation of Israel ends not with a bang, but a whimper.
Mehdi, I’m saddened to say that Zeteo has started to feel more like mainstream media, similar to CNN or MSNBC. The narrative you promoted during the elections disappointed many of us—it felt like pure propaganda for the Democrats. A lot of us have wondered what motivated this shift. If you want to regain the trust of your subscribers, return to the original spirit of Zeteo in early 2024. Just a friendly advice and last warning before it will be too late.
I agree. Zeteo needs to remain impartial, reporting from both sides of the divide. I would like to see more interviews from blue collar workers in the U.S. and western Europe to get their side of why they vote as they do. What do they want from their governments. The world needs to know the truth about why Americans overwhelmingly voted for Trump this time and not more nonsense from the MAGA politicians.
We’ve commissioned provocative pieces from commentators and freelancers that no other outlets were willing to publish, and produced a documentary on Gaza that mainstream TV networks refused to fund.
Sorry: no you haven't.

already paid, for one of the best values on Substack. I particularly like your discussions with non-Americans on Gaza, and certainly that will be wildly expandable on trump in general. I rarely can find an hour to sit down to a video, so perhaps have "parts 1 and 2" of the longer ones?
On Israel's expansionism: I wonder when it will occur to trump that we don't need a border wall. We just need to annex northern Mexico. It won't be the US exactly so we can just station the army on the border between "occupied Mexico" and what's left of it. Netanyahu can explain the details. (PLEASE realizing I am dripping with bitter irony.)
Mehdi, just a marketing tip. You mentioned increasing one’s subscriber level to a founder level, but I can’t find any information as to how much this costs, if there are any extra benefits beyond the obvious or how one would do that. Make the information readily available and you might be surprised at how many people kick it up . Keep on keeping on.

How deeply moving and a testament to the Palestinians' resilient spirit. Despite the horrendous losses, Palestine has won and Israel lost.
Thank you Daniel! I was struggling to find my weekly message to him since the election but this definitely helps!

American evangelicals and Trump, who is a true believer, support Israel because of their apocalyptic ideology. That's why he moved the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
