According to my friends in South Korea, it is because Yoon himself has been an appeaser of the North. So he's getting out in front of what they have all been calling him behind closed doors. This is the same thing Trump does.

Nicely done, context is always required for understanding. Modification of a couple words in your initial statement, make it appropriate for the reporting on Palestine. --- The deeper story – of widespread domestic dissatisfaction with occupation – has yet to be fully told. With little time for the media to provide this crucial context, it is essential to examine the Israeli campaign of terror already underway before the shocking Palestinian counterattack on October 7. --- Complex events require context, or they are simply political caricatures of the actual event.
