Because, as you say - if Israeli sources say something, I go to check if there's any reliable source evidence. (Haaretz & +972 being more liable to seek evidence).

That just goes to show how low the bar has been set for the Zionist Israel that we are celebrating "Israel says" but this is the reality on the ground unfortunately.
What bar? Until recently, anything they said was taken as absolute truth, fact ... carved in stone! Incapable of faking news.
