Empathy Is A Super Power's avatar

I encourage Zeteo to go to detention centers in New Mexico. It is not talked about but it is terrible. There’s a specific facility that was meant to shut down (Torrence County)… it was able to stay open because trump regime dismantled the civil liberties and oversight department (I might be getting the department incorrect). This state has a history of concentration camps and does not deserve any sort of pass. Any reporting that can shed some light on the horrific conditions like sewage seeped facilities, solitary confinement for asking to see a lawyer, suicides, and much more is really needed here.

Also, there’s no immigration court, cases have to be heard in El Paso, TX. Getting across the state is hard enough because hardly any public transportation. Asking for people to cross state-lines when many cannot afford to (fiscally, leaving family, language barriers, etc)to take off a few days to travel to court. Often online hearings are denied and many people do not have internet access as well.

There’s a suspicious long-time abandoned building that is now said to be DHS and some say it’s court- but it is hard to know.

Welcome to the United States of America.

No wonder our corrupt government is losing foreign tourists.

The overweight, swollen ankles, declining mental acuity president Trump has given a sharp poke into the ribs of Zionist right-wing Bibi Netenyahu at a press conference [18 November] to make room for his new 'bestie' de facto ruler Saudi Arabia prince Mohammed bin Salman, who promises a trillion dollar investment in things US. Suddenly this unimaginable amount of Petro dollars has Trump dreaming of visions of candy canes and sugar plum fairies. As a result, Trump is 'donating 15 advanced jets to the Saudis, irrespective of the warning that these jets MBS shall allow the Chinese to inspect and even test them; jets that Trump and MAGA refuse to show Beijing. Not one stalwart MAGA-nik has uttered a peep of protest. 'Les sales lasches'...spineless cowards all!

Thank you so much for this interview. it really helped me understand why people refused to vote for either Harris or Trump. and I agree that the rot has gone on for so long and is so deep that we probably need a period of extreme chaos and openness so that the people in this country can actually see what it is that they need to fix.

I would say, I believe that the reason people are detained for as long as they are is not because of the conditions in detention, that they fear may be exposed. I believe that it is because Geo and other companies like them are making money hand over fist every time they house someone and every time they transport someone; that's really the heart of this part of the scam.

I noted a deeper analysis of immigration history in the US. That Biden might sound more like your grandfather, and Trump more like a coach at Little League, at least the corruption surrounding immigration is now exposed. You do not have to go very far back in our history at all, to hear stories of horrific experiences immigrants experience. The irony is, when we need the labor? We welcome people. When times are hard? We turn on immigrants. I applaud the exposure of this deep wound he describes and agree. It looks bad when you open it up, but if you don't? Eventually it will kill you. And thank you for speaking up for Antonio and so many like him. How will we find these people? Nightly I worry about that. Brave interview from a brave man.

Cheeto’s Nazi/GOP Party And Its “Business Government”

The implicit function of a democratic government is to serve its constituents not control them Democratic governments cannot and should not operate as a corporation or business because by definition these entities perform to make a profit A democratic government is composed of constituents who help one another not profit off one another and takes on the very projects that corporations/businesses would not take on because for them there’s no profit in doing so

So the GOP/Nazi approach that they sold to the American electorate is that they would run the government like a corporation/business And the people bought it So the Nazi/GOP did exactly what the electorate wanted Take profits from the American taxpayer and make deals for the benefit of the aristocracy/MAGA leaders

Why is the electorate aghast at what Cheeto is doing? Because there is a distinct disconnect from what the taxpayer sees the government doing for them and what the aristocracy has deemed a mandate to run the government as a business and make profits at the expense of the American taxpayer meanwhile protecting the extreme wealth gap in the country The electorate has seen the light and disillusionment has set in on this MAGA/aristocracy model of governing Vote these Nazis out of office and tax the hell out of the aristocrats If they want to leave the country that’s just fine with us WE the People don’t want them French Revolution 2.0 American style

Thank you for stating exactly what I have been thinking and saying for years. I do believe that Trump was needed to wake up my country to the corruption enough to get off its butt and fight. I truly hope that this wave will continue. I hope that all of us will organize together and realize our fight for the country and justice in the world is intertwined. Noone is free until Palestine is free. Noone will have justice until everyone is held accountable to International law equally.

It is clear we must abolish ice now and make a new very small organization with proper duties

I agree with your guest, that Trump is forcing Americans to wake up. The Epstein emails bring home a larger point about an international cabal of very corrupt powerful people. We MUST work for a new vision for our country or we will be buried by corruption. We MUST have the discipline to get into the policy weeds and revamp our systems, especially about immigration.

The Project 2025 people did this for their value system, but Dems have just focused on superficiial short-term maneuvers to stay in this corrupt game.

@Sami Hamdi As an African American there are several things that I find incredibly offensive about this interview:

1. Sami Hamdi's taking on a stereotypical African-American voice when quoting an African American- it's bad enough when white people do that and is especially unacceptable from those who should be culturally fluent

2. The assertion that Trump is actually better for America than Harris would have been because he is forcing us to all enter into the battle and he shows us an unvarnished version of what America is.

3. The false assertion that in the last election we had a choice between a genocider and a fascist

What we really had was a choice between a candidate who enabled genocide in Gaza and a candidate who is enabling the continued genocide in Gaza as well as initiating a genocide in the United States and who sees Gaza as a real estate deal. For the most part, African Americans have been staunch allies of the Palestinians from the beginning. But Hamdi doesn't care about that solidarity, he only cares about gaining the solidarity of reprobates like Candace Owens, MTG, Tucker Carlson and their ilk. Hamdi has no real empathy with regard to the actual suffering of the brown and blacks in detention. No regard to the fact that we are now under a Hitlerian regime in the US that wants to ethnically cleanse the country of my people.

My ancestors fought and DIED for CENTURIES for the rights that this administration has stripped over a period of months. But for Hamdi, the loss of our rights is an acceptable result because he thinks that Trump is "good for America". But Hamdi does not extend the empathy to my people that we extended to the Palestinians. We are acceptable collateral damage because he does not see us as being as relevant or as human as his people. He thinks the destruction of our rights, our histories our bodies is acceptable collateral damage to open the eyes of the very population in this country that have demonstrated over the centuries that they are incapable of empathizing with "the others".

I am no fan of either the Democrats or the Republicans but as an African American, I do not have the same sense of entitlement that Hamdi and others like him have, where they are willing to enable the genocide of brown and black people in the US. What do I mean by that in this context? In this country, African Americans have NEVER gotten everything we wanted or needed. We have had to accept incremental change. Incremental progress. We have NEVER done anything that would enable mass suffering and genocide of another group because we did not make all the gains we wanted in the timeframe we thought it should happen. If Harris had been elected we could have pressured that administration into doing the right thing. African Americans would have supported that. But now we are FUCKED because people like Hamdi thought that living in the 4th Reich would be "good for America", good for Blacks. If Trump has been good for anything, it's been ripping the lid off the hatred in this country and has allowed us to see people for who they really are. Allowed us to see who are our allies and who really has our backs.

What Hamdi shows us is that the support shown by African Americans to the Palestinian cause is not reciprocated and that even though you claim that the Democrats were kowtowing to the right, it is in fact people like Hamdi who value the Tucker Carlsons and MTGs over us. Good luck with that. Maybe you can bond with them over making fun of how you think black people speak.
