Maybe it's all the internet's fault, but plain and simple reality just isn't enough for some people these days. A terrorist organization commits an act of terrorism, then loudly boasts of the terrorism they did, then shows photos of their terrorist members, pre-terrorism and post-terrorism. Maybe it's all the internet's fault, but plain and simple reality just isn't enough for some people these days. A terrorist organization commits an act of terrorism, then loudly boasts of the terrorism they did, then shows photos of their terrorist members, pre-terrorism and post-terrorism. But where's the fun in that? Wouldn't it be more fun if it WASN'T that? If, instead, it was some SECRET thing that only me and a few hundred thousand of my close friends on the internet knew about? Yeah, that's the ticket, let the sheeple believe the plain evidence right in front of their stupid eyes, we know better, don't we?
In reading replies I kept thinking, this sure sounds like paranoia. I'm a retired therapist who worked with paranoid schizophrenics. Some of the replies sure sound familiar. Paranoids don't have to also be schizophrenics. Just like sociopaths don't have to also be narcissistic. But the two sure do intertwine when they're dual diagnosed. As I was saying, some of the people replying here and sharing their insights sure do sound paranoid.
What's that old joke? "Is it paranoia if they're really out to get you?" The CIA and Mossad have done terrible things in the past, are probably doing terrible things right now, so I can understand where the paranoia comes from.
But my personal conspiracy theory is that the CIA and the Mossad want us to waste our time on the internet developing ever-more-elaborate conspiracy theories rather that any kind of useful and effective political organizing in our communities.
Of course, I get the log in your eye analogy, every country has one. But, part of the paranoia I heard was typical, 'our guys have done worse (which I don't fully believe in this case) and I'm well read'.
I'm well read too, in certain areas, as I'm sure you are too. But, it still doesn't make me an expert. I look for people that I believe have put in the time of educating themselves and sound like they're based in reality. But, those people are getting fewer and farther between in this time of internet research.
In this instance we all expressed opinions. Some opinions were presented as pseudo-fact. That's what rang of paranoia, to me. Their arguments don't seem as solid to me as they want it to be. Repeating their paranoia and reinforcing it with the above statements isn't the proof they want it to be.
Sorry for the long response. It's been a long day and I'm tired.

Great point.
Exactly. Because they “do their own research”; right?
