A war with Hizbollah will be devastating for the IOF and the israeli society, they`re not a militia of infants with very little combat experience/knowledge in flip flops, who use rockets built in bathtubs. And the IOF can`t even defeat that group, Hamas. And as much I would want to see the IOF and the Israeli government defeated in a major way, a war in southern Lebanon will be even more devastating for the people in all of Lebanon. That`s why I have a problem with so many people cheering for this war to happen, just so they can see the IOF being defeated, without realizing what this would mean for the regular people in Lebanon, Palestine, Israel and all over the region! I know I shouldn`t put any trust in them but I truly hope, the Biden admin (and other leaders/governments) are able to get a ceasefire done in Gaza, so the war with Hizbollah can be avoided.

They (including US) can’t see beyond their noses or think about tomorrow. Awful

It's time to cut the umbilical cord between Israel and the U.S. (and the rest of the west!) Israel does nothing for anyone but themselves and we've all had enough of their carnage. It's high time this dangerous and ugly state of affairs is ended. There has to be something that could accomplish this. Israel after all is a small state, the spoiled child of the west. They have proven they do not deserve a country of their own. Removing Bibi from power would be a good start.

I’m in Lebanon right now. Last two days you could hear and feel the sonic boom from Israeli fighter jets flying low.

That is terrifying. To be anywhere near that genocidally racist, insatiably expansionist, thoroughly psychopathic, terrorist state — let alone to have its malign attention focused on you — is terrifying.

I feel a compulsion to say, "be safe," but it's such a ludicrous thing to say to someone who has no control over Israel's savagery.

UsA must be included in this they (us politicians) have created a self sustaining monster(aipac) with Israel that circumvents democracy.

I strongly agree with your point.

Hey, Lebanon, try protesting against Hezbollah firing mussels into Israel and get them stop. That will avoid the war. Otherwise, you are causing it.

Cool Steve, see how protests in Israel are going to call for a cease-fire and bring the hostages home. Read a book or two and free yourself from your ignorance.

Netanyahu is seeking to extend his reign in Israeli politics come what may and that appears to be the sole reason for the invasion of Gaza and the fireworks on the border of Lebanon and Israel.

Dr. Vali Nasr's assertion re the firepower of Hezbollah could be one reason why the US would ensure that Israel doesn't cross the lines and invade Lebanon as a whole.

Hezbollah is from South Lebanon and is primarily fighting the occupation of Sheba farms area in the Golan Heights which is claimed by Lebanon and was claimed by Syria also.

The resistance to Israeli Colonial occupation of the Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian land is essential for justice to prevail.

Interestingly we are not writing as a reporter of facts as Mehdi has to but we are essentially writing our opinion of issues and happenings as we see them.

Thank you Mehdi for providing a platform for us to listen to the experts and vent our frustrations; whether about our foreign policies or lack of it along with domestic issues that do have an impact on us.

Excellent, excellent Medhi Unfiltered. Vali Nasr offered a history and insight into where and how Israeli aggression in the Middle Eastern arena has occurred and where it may be headed. Greg Cesar had me wishing representatives such as himself were being put forward in Democratic Party leadership. I realize he and others in the party are in a difficult position speaking out against President Biden. But I found myself disagreeing with him in his view that Biden can be influenced on positions in a positive way. I personally have come to the belief that Biden’s hubris and arrogance is a wall that can not be breached. While Biden’s presentation of his positions may be filtered, his actions cannot. Joe will do what Joe is going to do, consensus be damned. Having to back Biden’s indefensible actions will cause good people of the party their seats down ballot.

The fact that a foreign country lobby interferes openly, blatantly, shamelessly, and nobody in the government or military sees this as a problem, is the ultimate betrayal to the American People. At this point I am convinced Israel is at war with the American People.

The show us great but I feel needs to dig deeper into root problems such as US foreign policy & for profit corporations & their negative affects on democratic government throughout the world.

US foreign policy dictates that they keep "control" in the Middle East through Israel. It's about protecting the resource (oil) that allows the US+ economy to continue to grow. Capatalism/Corporations require by definition this constant growth to maintain profits despite the fact that our planet has finite resources and can not continue to sustain growth. Hence all the extreme weather, mass extinction, growth of deserts etc. These events that will continue to get worse, until the oceans "pumps" shut down (soon-within decades) we will go into an Ice Age then life will radically change for most people except the elites that have underground bunkers with self sustaining tech. My fervent wish is that for profit corporate* culture be dismantled within US government and their lobby & individual rights* be taken away. The problem is the largely greedy people in House of Representatives, Congress, Supreme Court and the White House don't want that. And the US population is largely brainwashed by the dream of wealth, by lack of education (government took away scoool funding), tv and social media like Fox News, CNN, Meta, X etc. The few people who I see supporting trump in CA are construction contractors(white male 50's), optician/physicist (white male 70's) and engineer(Vietnamese female 50's) None of them wanted any kind of real discussion initially with exception of the optician who insisted that Trumps economics are sound and that trickle down economics work(they don't).

Anyway onto how to bring positive change:

1- Bring back better education in the USA

2- Support Independant media- enter- ZETEO, Substack

3- Phasing out corporate mentality/support in government & dismantling corporations because they are NOT SUSTAINABLE.

4- Live simply so that others may simply live.

5- I could continue but I bet I lost most people at #3.

Just shared this news story on FB as an example of what REAL news looks like. I’m certainly going to annoy many of my friends with my “activism” but I don’t care! We need to wake people up to how their thoughts are being controlled by billionaire sponsored propaganda and special interests. I for one will keep annoying everyone to wake up- referring this great show is just one example of how we should all be doing it. I know I sound like a paid for endorsement but I assure you I’m just a fan who thinks we should get the word out on this awesome show and numerous others on this platform.
